/Edit: No way am I letting the B&O or Trini go though. Gotta take a stand against the growing emulation invasion. :P :P

@o1s1n - I'll probably need to downsize my CRT collection and I reckon the BVM will be the one I let go. Drop me a PM if you're interested. ;)

If I do get my hands on that I'll need to move on my own 14 inch BVM. Gotta spread the CRT love :D

    PM sent :)

Actually, if anyone wants to maybe go for that 20 Inch BVM that I had the counter offer on (it's listed at 400 euro), here's the link to it on dragonbox.

    https://www.dragonbox.de/en/792-sony-bvm-20f1e-monitor-with-remote-control-monitors.html

I have a coupon code to get 50 off that the owner of the site sent two days ago, is valid until the 27th of anyone wants me to PM it to them.

I'd love that. Missed out on one in Cork for €100 last year. Been wanting one ever since.

Just put through my next tshirt order though so no chance of that CRT for me this time

Anyone have any experience with the Action Replay Pro cart on the Saturn?

I've been waiting a while now and there isn't many copies of House of the Dead on Saturn, last one went for about €65 + shipping and there's a Virtua Gun bundle at €60 at the moment, likely to go up even more.

I could get a copy from Japan for about €20 and the Action Replay cart is about €35. Not a huge saving though but I'm still undecided...

    Anyone ever use these?

Have one component input on my games room Sony Bravia, think it would be best used for the ps2

It's cart only unfortunately. There's also a cart only Alicia Dragoon. Two rarest games out of the bunch and they're cart only.

Lovely fully boxed common games like Street Fighter 2, The Lawnmower Man, Sonic 2 and The Terminator. Why does it always turn out that way? :pac:

    Maybe...
Nah, I had a similar experience about ten years ago, it was my father came across a mega drive in the care home he was working in and those were some of the games that were with it. Spoooooky

I have my.... history with Rage but was in there today and a homeless guy came in and asked to have a quick go of Mario 3 and they let him. Fair play to whoever was there today. Looked like it made his day.

So, ideas people! I'll be adding the new BVM into my current setup soon enough, however want to be smart about it. Apartment is looking fairly neat and stylish (!) at the moment and I'm trying to avoid going full neckbeard with too many videogames. :pac:

Here's how the current setup looks, which is a corner of a living room.

    IMG_20180406_164734536.jpg

The 14 inch monitor will be going out today, and I'm going to try and somehow fit the new BVM in.

Can't put it where the 14 inch is as it's far bigger and will cause that unit to completely collapse.

Any ideas? I'd like to neaten the whole lot up to be honest, maybe a unit with doors so you can't actually see any of the consoles.

Depends what you can fit in there really?

I have just started to hook my consoles up into a IKEA metal unit. I like the look of it and it has holes for cables etc in the back ikea-ps-cabinet-red__0400189_PE564154_S4.JPG

There's a decent run of wall space thankfully. Would probably fit two of those units in a row with maybe a bit of room to spare. So loads to play with. The only limitation is I've a bend in the hallway into the apartment, so ideally whatever I get needs to be assembled on site.

I'd like to minimize the visual footprint of the BVM as it's pretty large, so may have to go for something lower. (Ideally I don't want it higher than the tops of my cabs)

I really have to improve storage space, that type of unit might be perfect.
I'll have to get the tape out, do some sketching out of it all.

That unit is really good I think. It's low enough and can easily fit 8 consoles underneath.

I have my 32" in on top of it at the moment but I've had a 55" on it and fits great.

The only issue would be the weight. I don't know if it would hold the weight of a huge CRT. The unit is listed as max weight of 60kg. My big CRT is over 60 is say. Luckily I got a stainless steel table from a factory that was throwing it out. That thing can take 150kg+

I actually took a picture last night of it and all. Don't mind the state of the place. In the middle of rearranging the whple garage. Added a LED strip underneath to light the consoles. Looks great when the lights are off.

I need to make a shelf that isn't made of fencing timber though :p I want to vinyl wrap the whole stainless unit too

Yeah not sure I'd sit the BVM on that red one above. The unit I had the 3 CRTs sitting on I can't find on the Ikea site now.

@o1s1n: Whatever you go for it will most likely have to sit out from the wall a bit as it won't be deep enough to sit the monitor fully on it - the back will hang out if you get me.

Actually here's an old picture of the unit I have - sturdy as feck and can fit loads of consoles in it - no annoying back panels on it either.

Also, that CRT glow..... lovely. :o
