Has anybody had people call into the yard to try to get them to change their supply company?

We had a foreign lad call yesterday, oldish car, ESB ID badge, looking for us to change but we only changed a while ago and I said we were in contract and he went.

It was only afterwards I as thinking how unusual it was for someone to cold call, we haven't seen anyone like that for years?

    yep

had a lady form Electric Ireland & a bloke from Energia a few months ago

Lady had a NI accent and was driving a car on yellow plates and was a bit too pushy for my liking ,so told her to scoot

bloke was sound & asked him to contact me when my contrct was up,

he didn't but I moved to energia in any case

Just be careful with energia the deal is only for a certain amount of units and price goes back up then. I was changing to them through bonkers. Ie and they rang me to make me aware of this. Bord gais energy worked out the best for me

Was only gone for an hour, you'd be half worried given the time of year a silage gear may catch a wire or pole but I think it was a fault in the substation. Turning in the cows and during that hour they must have floored the water and went playing with the float valve and cracked it off. Since I dropped a few wires to make paddocks bigger and some of the bottom fill troughs don't have a strand over them now they've done that a few times playing with the float and pulling it off

No damage done here but they kept the trough empty today.
It was off 15 minutes after 10.30 and came back then it must have went off again after because when I came back in for dinner it came back on again.
Not sure what the problem was here.

Paddocks (7ac) cut today and baling tomorrow hopefully before these forecast downpours.

The Quadtruc continues to turn heads. This time with the contractor. :pac:

It's a description coined up by a New Zealand fella for a Japanese kei mini truck with off road wheels put on for farm use.

I Saw the start but obviously some drama happened-missed it. Weird timing as I actually said to dad yesterday I was going to get a quote off a different vet. Being charged 75 for visits and got charged two amounts of 75 for 2visits for an animal they didn't cure that then died which has left a sour taste... so saying they are v responsive during calving times.

Thankfully the Referendum voting is now closed and I hope the YES vote is the majority.

I remember exercising my right to vote for the first time and that was in Sept 83 original Eight Amendment. I also remember standing outside the church prior to the referendum whilst the priest vilified us NO voters as heathens.
My name is Base, apparently I'm a heathen.

Two exit polls on the Late late have the yes on 69 - 68%.

I heard reports there was somebody with a loudspeaker today in a carpark in enniscorthy quoting the bible.

I did too but i thought the table would have to be clear of anything that could sway votes?

It supposed to be there for the old Irish thing of if a person turns up with no id, they have to swear on the bible of who they are.
I'm not sure if you were a Jew or atheist what good swearing on the new testament would be.

In most cases the bible is in the room but out of view in case of such emergencies.
