i think he was following you, but you just made it backto shore before your potion ran out (there was rolls to see if you would make it), but he ran out of potion before making it back to the surface(again, by roll). we had one spare potion that we had already used on retula, and the dark elf was talking about mouth to mouth breathing for him, but never got a reaponse.
