I'm not sure if these count as hidden gems, but...

    Better Call Saul
    The Last Kingdom
American Crime Story: The People vs OJ Simpson
    The Thick of It
Ravenous is...interesting. Canadian zombie apocalypse-style horror movie.

Is it not just the documentary that's years old? Nothing new in it? . Staircase?

    Still enthralling.

According to Netflix tweet ,there are 3 new episodes.

We should defend our way of life to an extent that any attempt on it is crushed, so that any adversary will never make such an attempt in the future.

It was a bit disheartening especially as I noticed one guy in the really fast group wasn't much smaller than me.

Mad Men. Just getting round to watching it now. Very good. Don Draper is a great lead character.

    Damnantion
    Chefs table

Totally agree with the first two,
Was disappointed to learn that they cancelled Damnation though

Still enjoying Border Town, 7 episodes in. Something a bit different and the subtitles keep you focused rather than browsing Facebook or even Boards on the phone.

Really enjoying this. Quirky lead character and very well played. I like the way a full story is resolved every few episodes. That way it avoids the trap of piling on twist after twist to string out a full series..., the Killing was guilty of this - good and all as it was.

Plus its a nice change to see the Finnish take on life....:)

Current guilty pleasure - Schitts Creek .. took a while to get into it and the type of humor and now I'm hooked - very easy watch to switch off for a bit !

Some great recommendations on this thread (some I've seen, some I've been planning to watch for a while) but not many actual "hidden gems"?

The Ranch is so forgettable yet watchable. I like the country music references. Some of the cursing seems so stilted and forced though. I'm always taken aback when the dad curses.

There's some good PBS documentaries on Netflix. The best one is about the panic caused by Orson Welles War of The Worlds radio play.
