Horn stopped working on Peugeot 206 also seems to be a problem with indicator stalk. Physically have to press down to keep indicator on otherwise indicators will go off.

I'm terrible at diy how much would I expect to pay in a garage to get this fixed?

This is a common problem as far as I know, the stalks contain a computer called Comm 2000, and if faulty can lead to all sorts of strange faults. I think the unit new is around €400 but I’ve seen them on adverts for under €100. I think it would take around half an hour for a mechanic to swap. I don’t think they need to hook it up to diagnostics to swap but I’m open to correction on that.

Kinda similar to this, not sure if you’re urs is the exact same part.
