@mike_ie....... didn't think that your country observed Ramadan.

For me, hotel is running business lounge buffets as normal for non-Moslems, so I get to eat alone :)

It's a month of fasting, but its quite amazing how much food is offered for Iftar (breaking fast)

10% or so of the city here is Muslim, and I happen to work with a lot of them. Not Muslim myself obviously, but a big believer in walking a mile in a man's shoes, so have fasted for the past few years here.

By the way, your keifir is still going strong here. :)

I once worked in a Retreat House and when it was Ramadan we used to have to put on a large evening meal. Defeats the purpose to me!

Well, it is only fasting from dawn to sunset. Iftar is often a huge social gathering for the community.

I'm just having fired eggs with beans.

So far today I've had a brown scone, a vanilla & white chocolate milkshake and a fruit smoothie. I'm shattered. PJ's soon and it'll be cereal for dinner most likely followed by chocolate. Tomorrow I must do better.

My final ingestion was a large lemon curd muffin from tesco and a couple of MilkTray.

Can anyone tell me please why, although they are all Cadbury, the MilkTray are insipid whereas Twirl and WHAT IS IT CALLED! the other bars are intensely chocolatey?

Beer and Patchi chocolate........ I have an addiction to the 1.2 kgs of lovely Patchi chocolates that we are provided with every working trip, have about 7 KGS of it in the fridge.
Seriously hope that employer moves to using Cadburys as I could happily give up that muck.

Oh WOW! If you want more room in your fridge, happy to help thee .. very happy..

Interesting re Cadbury's though. I eat Twirl and Wispa and they are really good, the familiar Cadbury quality so I wondered why folk were saying as you do. Someone gave me Milk Tray and you would never think they were the same firm... tasteless.

Pork fillet is in the oven and veg all prepared, just have to wait now.

Might stew some rhubarb for dessert - with custard if there's enough milk.
