Evil genius is worth a watch.

Watched all 4 episodes and couldn't put it away. Hard to believe that it is true. Well worth a watch.

Found it quite boring to be honest, but then again I had just watched The Jinx which was fantastic in comparison

Is the jinx still on Netflix, I see the title but can't see the icon?

Some solid stuff added today including the second season of much anticipated '13 Reasons Why'.

Plus Martin Freeman's Walking Dead type thriller 'Cargo'..

    Cargo looks excellent!

13 reasons why season 1 I thought was good but not an easy watch....but not sure what they could do with season 2.

From the trailer it looks like its going down an overblown mystery thriller type avenue… not something that interests me an awful lot. I'll probably still watch it though.

Currently sitting at 86% on RT.. so should be a decent watch!

Unfortunately Annihilation is sitting at the same score!

^ Ah, that makes more sense..

Yeah, definitely a show that I enjoyed in it's first year, but I've a feeling this year will be a bit of a turd.

Sorry, I should have made that clear. I was talking about 13 Reasons Why. I'm really looking forward to Cargo.

I'm probably one of the few that liked Annihilation...

I am binge watching The Durrells at the moment. It's a bit variable, but in general I am liking it. Quirky touches and overall very pleasant. Problem is my internal monologue now happens in Mrs Durrell's frightfully posh accent. :o

Judging by trailers and promotional material scattered around the place, I guess not..

The Royle Family - comedy gold! :D

Midnight Express - 40 years old but still a brilliant film.

    I've just watched Cargo.

    Do not watch Cargo.

Evil Genius was quite interesting but should really have been 1 feature length doc. The Duplass brothers seem to be making a habit out of dragging the arse out of a decent idea. Wild Wild Country suffered from it too.

Does it do anything interesting to expand the original short to feature length?

Its the nature of modern TV making unfortunately. Likely done so it brings in loads more advertising.

Shows I've watched in recent years that really could have been so much better with a lot of editing have been Making A Murderer and The Keepers. Far too long and drawn out.

Fully agree. I really enjoyed episode 1 and 2 of evil genius, got bored through 3 and 4. Could have been wrapped up.

Watching troll hunters ( with the kids) , really enjoying it but not a patch on how to train your dragons-race to the edge!

    Has anyone watched Wormwood?

Had some interest in it when I thought it was a documentary but just seen a cast list and there seems to be a lot of reenactments.

Is it any good and does it come closer to a drama or a documentary?

Netflix has no advertising breaks though.

I watched Cargo last night. It can be a bit slow moving at times and it does have the feeling of a short being stretched to breaking point in a genre filled to overflowing at this stage but Martin Freeman does a great job as the father who has just 48 hours to find someone to look after his daughter before he turns into a zombie and the Australian countryside provides a great backdrop to the story. I enjoyed it in the end but it really took its sweet time getting there.

Maybe I'm just a sucker for sci-fi space stories, but Lost in Space is surprisingly good. Very simple, straight-forward plotting that serves character, which feel refreshing compared to the convoluted puzzlebox plotting of Westworld etc.

    Must give it a lash

Sorta giving away the movie here, might be best to spoiler tag it.

It's so by the numbers with nothing surprising at all through out, the scenery is the only standout part of the movie. Another nexflix movie dud

Nothing I said about the movie you don't learn in the first twenty or so minutes of the movie or in every review of the film. I don't know what's really spoilery about what I've written.
