Same could be said for alcohol!

Just remembered this when I read this post 😀

There are many on the Yes side who are dropping the ball-Simon Harris, Leo Varadkar and a number of other yes proponents haven't spoken up.

For some reason I have it in my head that Leo says he isn't going to do a debate.

I am watching tonight tv3.... Louise Kenny and Catherine noone are absolutely wiping the floor with these two from the no side imo.

There is also going to be a fact check at the end...the no side are panicking already you can tell!

It is actually very good. I know it is a religious programme but so it is balanced. The Norway set up is interesting instead of constantly focussing on Britain

I also found it very informative and balanced.

Agree it was really good to see what happens in Norway. Hate how media and poiticians here often use UK as the standard as if they do everything perfectly.

Didn't find it was a religious programme at all.

That would you believe show was harrowing. Showed the stark reality of the sanctity of life, how precious it is and how it needs to be protected. I'd imagine any undecideds would be compelled to vote no after that. Some very poignant imagery that cannot be airbrushed over by cowardly self centred yes voters.

Is a Yes vote is passed, do people have confidence that the HSE are capable of providing the level of care required?

    Of course.

Medical abortions will most likely be carried out involving tablets so the treatment is quite simple.

    Depends how you interpret it.

For me it confirmed my thoughts on why I should vote yes,and I think many will feel that way.

The story of the young girl going through her journey to the UK was enough for me.

I'm also watching it. I can't stand Kirsten Fuller.

Louise Kenny is an excellent debater, she's clever and full of facts.

    Repeal all the way

Yeah she oozes the condescending attitude of the other ice maidens of save the eight campaign.

Hopefully but the misinformation from the Love Boats is having an effect.

No crowd on TV3 just using rare exceptions of mis diagnosis as a reason to keep the 8th.

As a yes voter I cant say I do right now,
But I think HSE at home would be better a better level of care than having to travel to another country and home, or taking pills they ordered online.

    .
    I really agree with this
I have no idea who's on tonight but I remember seen something on Cutting Edge last year.
I think it was Tommy Tiernan and Maria Steen. I saw it with one pro-life person and a person who was pro=repeal both couldn't praise there own side enough.
The comments were like He has her there and She has him there!

Did we just watch the same show.?
The GP talking about her ffa abortion was heartbreaking, and then how she met the priest at the hospital in liverpool who showed compassion and told it was ok and not too let it keep her away from mass.
This was a catholic priest that was able to show the compassion and understanding lacking from many on the no side here.

What Planet is that Kisten Fuller on. When my missus was pregnant she educated herself about all the tests and information and I suspect most other women in the same situation did similar. <snip>

Kirsten Fuller and a journalist who's name I didn't get but I think her first name is Wendy. All young women.

Can't see it as in the UK at the moment, anything like the cb debate in relation to audience participation and heckling?

No audience so it is a lot better. They're not so effective when they don't have their baying minions shouting down the opposition!

She doesn't seem to realise that women have the internet nowadays.

She talks down to people like a smug priest in my opinion.

I find it amazing that any medical person can support the 8th
Then again I find it odd that doctors can be religious too.

Kirsten Fuller is a Fethard, Co. Tipperary GP - who says no to everything - SSM, Abortion - anything that lets normal every day people take control of their own lives.

    Now doing a fact check

Has Colm O'Gorman done any debate yet?

Did a spot on the last word wth Lorcan Price for retain, haven't heard that he did any others, but open to correction

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,785 ✭✭✭It wasnt me123

    Excellent fact check.

5 amendments to what the No side had said
1 amendment to what the Yes side had said
Confirmation that the 8th was a material factor in the death of Savita - even the dogs in the street knew that.

Continuation of this debate tomorrow night at 10.30 - not sure who will be on the panel.

The fact check is a great idea
