I assume Aidan's solicitor has a signed copy of his will so Michelle taking it is pointless

I know it's corrie and there are only two solicitors on the street but say he went with another solicitor how would the solicitor know he died? unless a member of the family turned up and said it, if Michelle had of stayed quiet about it the factory could be divided between the family. What i'm saying is it is easy to change a will with another solicitor

I think a will has an executor that is usually known to the person and would know about the death.
They would get a copy of it as well.

I cannot see Aidan having Adam or anyone at his practice working on his will considering they disliked each other

I am not really using the forum at the moment as occasionally (often) there can be loose talk around spoilers which ruins it for me - not a complaint against any posters just an explanation of what suits me, people are entitled to use the forum as they choose
(but FWIW try watching a show for a month without spoilers - I could never go back, much more enjoyable not knowing. (Eg obviously from the episode I know Pat Phelan is alive but I dont want to know if he is back again next month or next year or 3 years time so when/if he appears its surprise and enjoyable. Just my take on it / attempt at explanation ))

    Anyways enough.
    .............................................................

Thought the hour long with Aidans death was amazing and powerful. I shed a good few tears.
Well researched in that they always clearly said that Aidan has taken his own life, or Aidan has committed suicide. No sugar coating.
Found Gails scene very very moving. Her best in years.
Excellent in that they are showing the wide effect it has and all we can say to anyone struggling is please please talk to someone.
    ....................................................

What I logged on to say was that in case anyone misses it on Wednesday night there is a load of men chasing a football on TV 3
so Coronation street has moved to 3e for the night.
Sky series link will not pick it up so need to set record for anyone that does not watch it live.

I am sure the Dementia Association of UK is pleased with Adam's suggestion to Daniel to drop Flora in a bag into a canal. That's the best the scriptwriters can do?

I think they'd be concerned that a random young man can walk into a care home and bring a vulnerable lady home with him!

Yes indeed. But still. How crass. Nobody is joking about suicide. I think Rita was going through some phase recently enough but no cheap jokes about her then.

Not necessarily. Usually a person would use a family solicitor and the family would go there to see if he left a will. Shares in a company don't automatically go to the other shareholders when someone dies. So it's silly to have Carla swanning round like she owns the place. I dont like Alya, but i prefer her over Carla and cant wait to see the smug wiped off her face.

I assumed he hung himself because Johnny said when asked by the ambulance woman that he moved the body thinking he could save him, would he try drag him out of a bath?

I thought so too and when he found him it sounded as if he had his face buried in his clothing as his voice was muffled. I visualised him clinging to him trying to hold his weight.

Surely would have been blood on Johnny though, after he moved the body.

This is a bit glib to be discussing but I doubt a man of Johnnys age and medical restrictions could move his son's body if it had been suicide by hanging.

How dumb is Sophie? What was the point of going to Johnny with that text.

Coronation Street airs Zeedan Nazir's exit scenes next week as he realises that he needs a fresh start away from Weatherfield.

Zeedan waves goodbye to his family – and his new business – after a dramatic clash with a stranger leads to him weighing up his future options.

As we've already revealed, upcoming Corrie episodes see Zeedan turn violent with a man called Phil as he tries to protect his estranged wife Rana.

Scenes airing this Friday see Phil hassle Rana, Kate and Sophie out on the town, before turning even more sinister by following them back to the Street.

When Phil grabs Kate, there's chaos on the cobbles as Rana screams for help and Zeedan rushes over to the rescue – punching Phil and knocking him unconscious.

Early next week, Zeedan is relieved to hear that Phil will make a full recovery from the attack – easing his fears of ending up with a death on his conscience.

Zeedan is also spared any trouble from the police when Kate and Rana cover for him, keeping his name out of it when they're quizzed over what happened.

Just when it looks like things might be about to return to normal for everyone, it's clear that Zeedan's guilt over what he did to Phil is still weighing heavily on him.

As a result, Zeedan announces that he's giving up on the restaurant and leaving Weatherfield, much to the surprise of Imran, Yasmeen, Alya and Rana.

    Off topic..

But Carla was always Michelle's sister in law since she was introduced.

    Now she in Johnny's daughter.

But are Johnny and Michelle ( both Connors) not related?

So would Carla have been related to her first husband, or am I missing something??

Johnny is a second cousin of Michelle's father Barry (according to a Coronation Street fansite - it was stated in an episode), so yes technically Carla would've been related to both Paul (first husband) and Liam (Maria's husband who she had an affair with), and she would be even further related to Ali!

Essentially due to the original trio of Conner siblings (Paul, Liam and Michelle), Carla is Ali/Ryan, Ruairí and Liam Jr.'s aunt by marriage.

There's more unusual setups on that street anyway, like Peter marrying and having kids (as far as he knows) with two of three sisters he lives with.

Also via marriages, adoptions and stepwhatevers, Leanne for example:
    -shares a mother with Eva
-shares a father with Chesney (who was officially adopted by Les)
-is related in the exact same way to Fiz as she is to Toyah
(to be fair, they obviously didn't grow up together but it is funny to think they all lived for many years in the same house at different times)

Carla would be a "third cousin" of her former husband. She never knew this, as she only found out a couple of years ago that Johnny was her Dad (he had an affair with her mother).

Carla's great grandfather and Michelle/Paul/Liams great grandfather would have been brothers.

It's a bit like this in most Corrie families.
