Anyone any experience with these guys? 3 month warranty offered and have a couple of cars I like the look of. Warranty obviously only any use of it's honoured though!

I bought a used car from this garage a few weeks ago and was promised full tank of diesel, 50 euros luck money and the second key on collection. That hasn't happened yet. I will let you know how I get on.

    Why, what happened.

    Why, what happened.

I was referring to you waiting for them to give you a tank of diesel and €50 back for good luck. If they were going to do that they would have done it on the day you paid and collected the car. And as a buyer who was promised it, I would not have drove away the car without it.

Hi Bazz26, sorry I was not very clear. We inspected the car, agreed on a deal, which included spare keys etc and left a deposit. Then a few days later my son went to pick up the car and forgot to ask for the keys, diesel etc. I have tried to contact Garage since but the last time I tried, he was in a meeting. I am hoping he is just very busy but I will try again tomorrow.

I'd say you will have some job getting the key and it will involve having to go in in person and be a thorn in their side if your lucky. It's too easy to fob someone off over the phone and they probably will avoid you if at all possible even if you show up in person. It's not ideal but I'd say it could come down to weighing up how much is your time and effort worth chasing these guys versus buying a replacement key yourself and avoiding <snip> in future.

I expect you are right but I will give them one last chance tomorrow and will post results.

Well, I am delighted to let you know that John from Kildaragh used cars is a man of his word. He explained the delay and misunderstanding and put money into my son's account to cover the cost of the spare key and the full tank of diesel and 50 euro luck money. We bought a good 2010 Polo from Kildaragh Used Cars and are happy customers. I would not hesitate buying from this garage again.

All hail John. John is the man. Fair play John.

After reading this thread I will be buying all my used cars from John and will coax my friends and family to do the same.

Em, no he's not. He told you he had 2 keys for this car. He didn't. And probably only gave you the money to cover a 2nd key because of external pressures (the power of boards....maybe ?)
You also didn't get the other 2 items mentioned upon collection, it took a month at least.
Not a reflection on yourself, more a comment on the total BS spouted by a lot of Car Sales People simply to get the Sale.
