    Hey All.

Would someone be able to recommend a book that would be helpful in helping in teaching how to deal with things not going your way better.

My last relationship failed because I was feeling left out on nights out or getting annoyed if my suggestions weren’t being listened to, so I want to try improve on those areas for the future.

    Thanks.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Dummies would work(I do hate that it's called "for dummies"!), hopefully someone can recommend one more specific to your issues, but I think that is a great starting place.

Feeling Good: the new mood therapy, by David D. Burns.
Others have also recommended it here.
It contains very good examples as well as exercises to help you identify and hopefully resolve issues.
    He is a CBT practitioner

It's very old school in it's styles of writing and may not be on point, but for human behavior Dales Carnegie, How to win friends and influence people. Ignore the naff title.

Who Moved My Frickin Cheese? - Book by Spencer Johnson

In a nutshell it all boils down to 'perception', and thus CBT.

e.g. Some folks are very dissapointed, and even in slight disbelief that Ire didn't win the europop show,
but looking at this realistically it was just a slightly sh1te song.

That's a really interesting suggestion! That book is about finding God and why people are spiritual, right? So how does it help someone who has trust issues in relationships? [For OP: I am inferring, this might not be true, I only know the 30 words you posted and I guessed this might be a difficulty ] I love Frankl so I'm interested in other interpretations :)

My read was not religious, per se. What I got: "Viktor Frankl's ...theory is founded on the belief that human nature is motivated by the search for a life purpose; logotherapy is the pursuit of that meaning for one's life."

That sounds more like his other book, Man's Search for Meaning.

No worries! Terrible name for a sequel! Very confusing! Probably the idea of some publisher looking to cash in :D
