Plans for large-scale Dublin Mosque get green light

Great news. Plans for a large-scale mosque in West Dublin have been given the go-ahead by An Bord Pleanála in spite of local opposition. The four storey building will house a mosque, community centre, and primary school (but for Muslims only, tee hee!) More mosques please.

We swap one oppressive religion for another. Great source of financing and potential financing to boot.

The new purpose-built mosque will be financed from Dr al-Sattar’s family fund, his life savings, and donations from the Muslim community in Leicester. He also has plans to fundraise among the medical community in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

How do you make that out? From the article -

The Council also stated that the applicant has indicated that the school and community centre will be open to everyone.

If you read the article it sounds like there will be no audible call to prayer. There's none in the one in Clonskeagh audible outside the building either.

Not from the north and most of it was before my time but that was a completely different situation to the current Islamic terror inflicting the world and anyhow why does that justify importing Islamic terror into this country.

As a conservative male, I welcome our new Muslim friends. I intend to convert so I can reap the benefits of Islam: can have multiple wives, will no longer be bound by political correctness, can say and do as I please safe in the knowledge I can use my minority privilege as a get out of jail card.

Can beat, assault and oppress women and feminists will defend my right to do so.

If I decide to commit an act of terror, liberals will brush it under the carpet as the desperate actions of a 'mentally ill lone wolf' who felt alienated from society.

Oh yes, it will be good.

On a serious note, I don't believe all Muslims are bad people, not at all. Just that we are probably not importing the best and brightest and we really should avoid the same mistakes as continental Europe.

Imams preaching hatred of the west and radicalising young muslins have very much to do with promoting terrorism so mosques need to be discouraged for security reasons alone.
