Did you not read this line:

"My daughter will be three months away from her 18th birthday on May 25th. She does not have a vote in her future."

If there hadn't been an 8th amendment she would have no future or past. Like I said, it's hypocritical to use her like this.

What??? I don't understand the point here.

The woman didn't want an abortion. What she wanted was for her medical team to intervene sooner then they did. They shouldn't of had to wait for her to nearly bleed to death before intervening. She was already a mother and was worried her little boy would lose his mother.

Its not like its a shed load of docs signing it anyway - but if it 1000+ medical students signed the petition I don't think it attract much interest.

No slight on students of werktuigbouwen intended.

If it was just a 1000 medical students who signed, it would be a 1000 potential doctors who put the health of their patients first.

Applause, shouldve been banned before the debate started, it sounds like a college society debate about student fees, not such a serious social issue. Such a waste of limited time

Wiping the floor by utilising personal attacks so early? Although I guess the no side couldn't use facts or it'd be a non-gevent.

It's a split 50/50. There was a 20 min phone interview to get a ticket.

That is very much a matter of opinion.

I imagine the CB show will poll that as they tend to do at the end of the show.

Because the No side has shown they are incapable of telling lies to further the agenda

Ya. It's annoying with all the talking over. Claire isn't stopping them very well either

She's rotten to the core... A woman high on her own self esteem who has spent her whole life looking down her snout at everyone around her.

I'm a yes voter, and i dont think she is. She's like a dogmatic T-1000, keeps coming and coming.

Any actual points on what's happening, rather than who's insufferable?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,791 ✭✭✭CptMackey

I think the audience is stacked on the no side. All the questions seem to be from the no side

Can't legislate for regret I'm afraid...

If the questions are answered appropriately, that's good for yes.
