Starting to wonder are Ulster struggling to sign players? With the champions cup place still in doubt! We’re due an announcement surely? after last weeks exodus.

Well, there's no shortage of players available currently. Just scrolling through the transfers and there are some qua6plYers available.

On rugby transfers. It shows who's signed and released. There's decent upgrades to be had.
I check it weekly. I notice that the provinces have less activity than most .

provinces have less scope as they are limited by IQ'd rules.

Wouldn't worry about it, sure Leinster haven't even announced which of the other provinces' best players they're poaching yet.

Tbf been a while since you picked Ulster’s depth chart? Issac Boss the last or am I forgetting anyone?

But again I repeat we've been here and it was a clusterf***. It's madness to be doing this again. Yes he could well be a great appointment but we can't afford another wasted season.

What's the back-up plan? Merge the academy and senior squad and have Anderson in charge of everything until McFarland arrives?

I requetsed this before and got nada. Giz this PM there.

Thomond's box is full (ooh missus)

I'll post my response here - Cheers for that, I get your reasoning. I still think other sites and publications are well capable of pulling similar strokes but that's as good a reason as any to not want to give them business

Ulster probably have a bit of scope with only van der Merve, Deysel and Coetzee as signed up NIQs.

Steven Myler has just signed for London Irish so that's one option gone.

Rugbypass is reporting that carbery may be headed to munster with keatley going to ulster.

Lots of gametime for McPhillips, in which case.

If that did happen, that sums Ulster up in one go.

Ulster would be better off with Keatley for 3 years than Carberry for 1 I think. More stability and less of an issue if McPhillips overtakes him.

True to some degree, but Keatley has brain farts behind a solid Munster pack. Dread to think how'd he fare with ours until it's properly drilled/stregthened.
Be a great coup for Munster all the same.

Hey, you said you wanted a more experienced option to learn from! lol
That is an absolute trolling, I think even JJ is more promising than keatley.

    This gonna sound mental but;

Ian Keatley to Ulster, Carbery to Munster?

    .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,513 ✭✭✭joseywhales

So you write for rugbypass then?

While that option would be better for Munster and Carbery, I think it is a real kick in the teeth for Ulster.

If Ulster sign Ian Keatley I am marching on D4. What a crock of ****.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,819 ✭✭✭Dubinusa

Why would Keatley entertain that idea? He's settled in Munster and has been for a few years. It makes no sense. Very poor from the IRFU if true. It's mindboggling. Jaysus.

He wont hold his place next year probably, with or with or without carbery, plus it might mean a new contract.

It would be worth it for pure comedy value.
