The majority of women who have an abortion already have a child or children. What is your understanding of how they'd go about adoption as an alternative to abortion please?

    Very little, I'd imagine.

Really so when your mother was pregnant she said Im expecting a foetus? You are one funny guy.

Like most people I gather she probably didn't announce at conception, instead announced after first trimester had lapsed that very concept shows that majority of people are not confident that a foetus = certain healthy baby

Very telling? Telling of what? It is an option and the law doesnt force anybody to give a baby up. Zeroing in on side issues is pointless. The adoption law does allow open adoptions and can be made more accessible . Sure you can do all sorts of things under the law if we decide to do, so getting bogged down in the small print of this or that law takes away from the fact an abortion is deciding not to save a life-not to raise that life or give others the chance to be parents. Sure ,we allow surrogacy and viking sperm donations-so making adoption more accessible should not be a trouble.

As for whats being proposed-once the referendum has been passed (yes) then the 12 weeks will be pushed out.

very telling that you have a complete inability to listen.

John McGuirk is taking this well.

It must be awfully tempting seeing all those dollars burning a hole in the accounts of whatever shell company trades as "Save The 8th", rendered mostly impotent by Google and Facebook. It would be a shame if it got embezzled.

    Because it kills a life

Why should a pre >12 week gestated fetus have an equal right to life as me?

Why should my healthcare be compromised because of the contents of my womb?

    Because it kills a life

If that's the case why isn't it classed as murder?

    (I'll give you a hint, it's because it's not killing a life)

You cannot kill that which does not have sentience and life.
    Killing means to end life.
Your use of the word "kill" is a red herring.

Again that is what you believe and what others don't.

I believe it kills a life.

While repealing the 8th isn't a black and white issue, and the yes vote has its merits, I believe the lesser of two evils is to vote no.

You should be asking what is the state offering rather than death as an option for the unborn as a choice.
I mean a study in the US found 40% of abortion are for economic reasons, so it is like a eugenics program for poor people, rather than providing better supports for poor people so a pregnancy isn't a financial burden, these unborn lives are the future of every nation on Earth.
36% for timing reasons - maybe better legislation and supports if a woman is in university or a job so timing is less of a problem.
31% because a partner pushed for an abortion - where is the compassion there for the living woman?

All women are offered is a lack of supports which the Yes side are silent on and the only thing the Yes side are offering is the option to terminate the life of their unborn as a solution - dressed up as compassion and healthcare, while women who continue their pregnancy are not given enough supports which is what the state should be using the money they are spending on this referendum for.

We have a pregnant woman in work, who has just announced the news.

Her words were "Now we're passed the 12 week mark - we can announce we're expecting!"

    It's there for a reason.

    That's EXACTLY it.
Voting No means I have to live my life according you your morals, even though I disagree with them.
A Yes vote ensures everyone can make their own choice and one opinion isn't forced on society.

You just unintentionally proved the point of the Yes campaign. Your feelings on the matter are not more valid or more important than mine.
    They are equal.
Therefore I should not have to live my life according to your morals and principles.

Are you a vegetarian? Do you demonstrate and condone the killing of life for food and clothing.

Groups calling for a NO vote in the Referendum are holding a 'joint emergency press conference' in Dublin this afternoon following Google's decision to pause #8thref ads.

    They aren't happy at all.

It is interesting that Google banned money from Ireland too...

Because its a life, just like you.

The contents of your womb is a life.

In what way is a pre 12 week old fetus, which has no consciousness, sentience or any other faculty that defines a human, just like me?
    What are the similarities?

You don't seem to have much to offer the debate besides shouting "Murder!!1!" and "killing babies" every two minutes.

Yes, your side is laundering the cash from the Americans here.

Report that to the Gardai if you have evidence.

    Okay.

Right after you report all those "murders" your side keeps banging on about.

Lets say you want to murder someone, but I don't want you to.

But you shouldn't be allowed to murder someone because that person has a right to life.

    Should society allow murder?

So why has Amnesty Ireland who are campaigning for Yes, not returned the money to Soros as told to by SIPO?

But the life inside a pregnant woman is real. That's the difference.
