I got a chocolate gateaux Swiss roll earlier and said yes this will do nicely later...

To my surprise the sponge is extremely dry and the cream filling tasting like sugar and really cheap ingredients.

This was a new package also the pictures and writing are slightly different.

    It's put me right off....

Anyone else notice their Swiss been off and yes I said it their Swiss.... ;-)

As far as I know it’s been shît for ever. The fake cream. The dry sponge that grates your teeth.

No it's after getting very tasteless.

The new package seems to be the end of previous flavour which was much nicer.
    The new one is terrible.

Yes, pure sugary gack, no distinction between the 3 flavours at all :(
I haven't had a Gateaux swiss roll in years but am not enticed to now. The Teatime Express Australian layer cake was amazing, such a pity they stopped production.

Right if you thought that, now try the one in new box.

The only way I could eat any of those shop bought boxed cakes is to throw a whollop of cream on them.

If someone tells us that Ferrero Rocher isn't what it used to I'll be very disappointed.

I thought they'd gone out of business! Can't remember when I last seen their products on sale...

They pretty much the same but I do believe less filling of the sweet sweet chocolate chocolate goo.

Funeral wake food along with them sandwiches with only tinned fish and butter as the filling.

I'm sure a strongly worded letter will set things right, old chap.

I've always liked pastries and I really like pineapple, but pineapple log (and battenberg while we're at it) should go back to whatever level of hell they came from.

Sawdust! Yes! That’s it to a tea.

    The new one is terrible.

All of these things were full of flavorings and stuff they’re not allowed to bung in any more.
This is what Gateux tastes like without the stuff that made it edible.

Don't forget the loons going around offering cigarettes off a dinner plate.
