Coronation Street [News, Spoilers and Discussion] contd

Years ago Sally or Hayley went on mat leave in real life and there was no big dramatic exit, they were talked about but not seen on screen. I'm not a fan of the dramatic exits cos they usually involve a dramatic comeback which shouldn't be necessary after a short break.

I'm glad the storyline is happening, it may be uncomfortable for some but it's important to show how people suffering in silence can come to a harrowing and tragic end. It makes a change from the usual cancer story lines where an actress shaves her head which leads social media to call for the actress to get an award for being "brave"

It really seems that Corrie will nail this suicide story and fair play to them.

Peter telling Toyah he loved her just did not ring true at all - they are not a believable couple....but it does give us good scope for fireworks when he eventually sleeps with Leanne/Carla/third as yet unknown person.

Poor oul Summer of the Sorrows - now she's bonded with friendly neighbour Aidan....she'll begin to wonder if she's cursed! The child is a Jeremy Kyle show special waiting to happen

Did Eve ever mention her mother, Stella, in all of this predicament?
The funny thing is that Stella it seems went off to New York and Eve had planned to go to America at one stage.
Strange her mother should be so uninvolved.

They were one of the better matched couples that Corrie had. I think they both lved each other very much and his self destruct personality was well paired with her mature, streetwise manner. They wouldn't last well in real life, but were an excellent soap couple.

Confused, is Eva still pregnant ? I thought that was her baby with Toyha

I think what happening to Aidan is very true to life, you can be suffering unbearable pain and in a deep depression and even those close to you don’t even notice.


So sorry for Aidan..... Eva should have told him the truth.
