Really not confident about us winning that. No Henderson and Deysel is a massive blow.

Allen Clarke is going to have the Ospreys ready to kill when they walk out.

I imagine Ulster will be slight favourites but I reckon Ospreys will sneak it. AWJ, Tipuric, Brad Davies and Biggar have the quality to really turn the screw on the day.

It's not about learning from another 10 it's about needing the pressure of competition, they are both in a position to drive each other and plenty of caps to be shared in Ulster.

The only people who will be out for him will be the handful of posters on uafc, half of whom are probably the same person who moan about absolutely everything.

Most Ulster fans will give him a chance.

I see the BT Sport pundits yesterday were all pretty much of the opinion that Paddy Jackson will be signing for Sale next season.

But he's aiming his popgun at the wrong target!

Rugbylad is only reporting on a story on the front page of this week's "The Rugby Paper "

That quality paper even got Ulster mixed up with Connacht.

That's the whole problem. All rugbylad does is steal content from elsewhere. It's atrocious.

And RL has twisted the headline to make it look as if it's a very recent development.

Is it against the charter or something to post from certain sites?

I dare say you could say the same about any publication to be honest if you researched enough into some of the things they've published, online or print

The standard of media and the media's standards are at an all time low. 4th pillar indeed.

The problem is people considering outlets like rugbylad or punditarena as being the same as legitimate media.

It's like saying Brown Thomas is ****e because I bought a knock-off handbag in a flea market and it fell apart.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,508 ✭✭✭leakyboots

Agreed, the vast majority are rags.

I don't get Thomond's need to post the same message every time someone uses a link from that site. People are free to use whatever sources they want (even if they're clickbait sheeeite... but then so are most media nowadays)

I'll drop you a PM leaky. It's not just that they are clickbait.

But that's the problem with them. All media outlets get tarred with the same brush regardless if they're accurate or not. It's like Trump's #fakenews crap.

Former player Neil Best suggesting on Twitter ceo Logan to be gone by end of month with a former player taking over.

A big problem is when people basically decide the entire industry are scum based on the actions of a few, at that point outlets reckon they might as well engage in the same bull**** because they’re sharing the reputation regardless.

If people were a bit sharper and actually cared about the things they pretended to it would sharply reduce that carry-on.

Where did I refer to Rugbylad or Punditarena in my post?

Times and Indo are well on their way down the same road towards being clickbait outrage rags. Little by way of integrity left in the media these days, cancelled my weekend order of the Times a few months back and I don't miss it to be honest.

Is Gordon Hamilton a businessman of some sort? His name floating about on Twitter a bit in relation to Logans replacement.
