It's starting to look like if you're in trouble in an Irish maternity hospital nowadays you'd be better to call a vet.
What is wrong with the public service, I really feel for the parents that have lost babies without explanation and as for the cancer screening....sickening

No accountability in any walk of life with the politicians getting away everything eg.charley, the tribunals,Bertie the list goes on why do people think standards will be any better when the attitude of the country is a disaster anyway.

In the light of all these problems, Hospital workers have some cheek to look for more money from the public

I don't agree with that. The young doctors there and nurses are the backbone. They should be looked after and given a reasonable wage

they probably would be if everyone looked after their business....what is this latest scandal going to cost us......Private sector can't keep paying for much longer, every cent of tax originates from the private sector you know.

Not cheek when you see the ****heads above in the dail giving themselves a rise and telling the rest of the country to tighten there belts and work zero hour contracts.
They work hard in the hospitals problem is the free medical expenses if half the cuts had to pay for drs or hospital visits it would soon sort it out.

Got a call early this morning from a neighbour to help with a heifer calving. Didn't overdo it on the jack as I reckoned no way it was coming out the back door. Called the vet and ya a cesarian. Calf had her drank dry before vet left. Good to know I made the right call and didn't go mad on the jack. Neighbour reckons she went in calf at 6 months. Yikes.

Exactly that, if I make a cock up on the farm I have to take the hit financially....apparently HSE can keep making cock ups and us tax payers take the hit and no one loses their job.

I said I wouldn’t but fu1ck me your not getting away with that.
Go in and do a days work in the front line and them see why more money is wanted it’s even worse for new inters.
All you hear is the bad about hospitals but there are many thousands very glad I be alive cos of the hse.

Iam not defending the sh1te management at the top and all the **** ups that happen.

You bet me to it. I work in the HSE yes there are issues but remember that when your going into the ED at 3 in the morning.
You will find the same ones that will benefit from a tribunal will be the same ones that decided not to tell those unfortunate women and to fight them in the courts.
The legal profession have a lot to answer for.
Accountability and mentality are certainly a problem but there are people who are doing excellent work day in day out.

Fair enough but I only expect people to do what they're paid to do.
Can't really blame the management for the maternity problems in Ballinasloe though and i doubt anyone will be disciplined either

What's that got to do with the nurses and young doctors working massive hours for basic wage. What's your solution?? If they make a mistake hit them financially? That's a great way of dismantling the HSE from the inside.

Sure let's blame the workers at the coal face for the sins of the bosses in the office. What a riduclious statement

Changed my phone today, had it for 15 months , a record for me :D only reason I changed was it was getting hard to charge it. Had a case on it which I'd say saved its life about 50 times
