I am about to make you all feel like supermen and women!

When my first computer ever arrived, I read the list of the contents of the boxes and started searching in panic for the hard drive.. ...

    That was many years ago!

Hi there :o can I ask a dumb question? Anyone know what these speed tests mean? I did one cos my laptop's taking a few minutes to open a tab. So now I have the results but none of the speed test sites explain what it all means. why it can't just gauge as slow or fast is besides me.

What are you paying for? I'm guessing you are not using a fixed like from the likes of Eircom or Sky?

What links are you trying to post? Surround them in the code [#] tags.

Are you using CTRL+C and CTRL+V or right-click your mouse and copy & paste that way?

I had that one night. It was like the clipboard was full or something. Fixed itself and never happened again. The old turn it off and on again trick.

He wont or shouldn't be able to access any folders that your account created but may be able to access standard folders, I wouldn't be sharing a pc with him if you have porn on it tbh, if you really have to can you move them to your user folders?

You can also get software to lock folders individually but I don't have any recommendations I'm sorry m8,

Using Windows 10 and IE. To post a pic in a post on Boards I used to be able to right click on the pic, select 'copy' and use the 'insert image' tab to post the pic. Since a recent windows update, this option appears to have disappeared. When I right click on a photo, select 'copy' and then select 'insert image' tab, when I right click in the dialogue box I no longer have a 'paste' option. Any ideas anyone ??

    TIA Kat1170

I had the idea that you had to have pics in an on-line storage program, and you posted the link. I was never much use at this so I am a bit woolly about it!

That's the preferred way but you can Hotlink to them as well.

Is there any way of turning off the suggestions when you start a Google search on iphone?
Have tried turning off predictive text in settings and turned off search engine suggestions also.

I think it's something you have to do in Google rather than in your phone, but you need to be logged into it or it won't let you.

No idea. Do you mean Boards in general, or in a specific forum/thread? Also, are you using the old Legacy version of Boards, the Touch Site version, or the amusingly named Responsive Site?

boards in general and I use the older version

    odd really

Very odd! Is it pictures you attach, or stuff taken from other sites? Some sites won't allow you to post their pictures elsewhere using links, so you usually get an error message; also, some browsers (e.g. Firefox) won't show the picture you posted if it comes from certain sites, but if you open the thread on another browser then you can see it properly.

Have you tried typing the tags instead of clicking on the icon?
