Opel insignia 09 2.0 diesel engine replacement

Hi. It just happen that I need to replace the engine on my Opel insignia and I would very much appreciate any information on where I can find a replacement that won't break my budget. Or what to expect costwise. Thanks.

Would consider just cutting your losses? That model of insignia is probably one of the worst cars on the road and finding a decent engine will be difficult. Even if you do succeed the cars value is so low that it probably isnt economical to repair.

So many 2.0 ctdi insignia threads coming up at the moment.
I have the pleasure of being in one a lot in a car pool and my god she is rough as a badgers.
Just had the clutch and flywheel done and its still a ball of muck.

Tbh I never had any problems with the car. I gave it to a friend as a courtesy and he drove with the coolant leaking until the engine blew up. I'm in no position to buy another car at the moment so if anybody knows a good place to buy a second hand engine please advise...
