The Milan game is the cup final but yeah still the much tougher run in.

    Oops I didn't notice that :o

Very pleasant surprise to hear Juventus dropped points against Crotone. Would have been a sickener if Napoli hadn't capitalized. Sets things up nicely for the big game.

Sounds like Fiorentina vs Lazio was a thriller. Gotta feel sorry for Veretout scoring a hat-trick and his team still losing. Luis Alberto's having a cracking season.

    Great equalizer

That result for Lazio was massive. Fiorentina have been playing great for weeks, and to not only win but do it after going 2-0 down...

Half-Time and Milan are losing 1-0 at home to Benevento.

I am the biggest fan of Benevento at this stage :)

    What a win for Benevento

So happy for them but this Ac Milan team is a shadow of what it once was. Alot of work required in the summer

Can't believe Milan lost. I expected they would turn it around in the second half. And I see Benevento played the last ten minutes with ten men after Diabate was sent off.

My only hope for Milan this summer is they can offload a lot of what was bought last summer. Don't care who goes only want Romagnoli to stay. Kalanic & Silva have been embarrassing to watch. Bonucci has been a massive disappointment & Biglia plays like he's 58.
Don't care about the cup final vs Juve as the season is a massive failure & a frivolous domestic cup adds nothing.

We've given Bennevento 4 of their 17 points this year lol.

Really funking for Fiorentina and Samp to leap frog us. Very hard to make that push for top 4 while playing in the Europa.

Guess we should give Gattuso another year to try sort things. I was very against his appointment initially, then he won me around slowly with the organisation he brought to the team but the Arsenal first leg loss knocked the stuffing out of the team and they've been terrible since.

Think we need a top class, proven manager at this stage.

Gattuso stabilised us well but we haven't had a proper manager since Allegri. We need to move away from the ex players.

I've never hugely bought into a clubs need for a proven manager to be honest. They can come with baggage. Its hard to catch one at the right part of their career trajectory. Like if we could throw millions at Simeone he'd be my first choice as I think he's hugely passionate and still feel he has something to prove but being a former Inter man I'm not sure he would, aside from the fact we're a step down for him.

But plenty of unproven managers have gone to big sides and done amazing things, look at Conte at Juve, or Zidane at Madrid. You even say we hadn't had a proper manager since Allegri but look who he managed before us, Milan was his big break.

Yes but we've tried at least 6 managers since with either no experience or with similar records to Allegri

Big result for Crotone's survival hopes winning away to Udinese, and also confirming Benevento's relegation. Udinese are in a wretched run of form. That was their 11th loss in a row.

Looking forward to the top two's match tonight. Teams are in:
Juventus XI: Buffon; Howedes, Benatia, Chiellini, Asamoah; Khedira, Pjanic, Matuidi; Douglas Costa, Higuain, Dybala.

Napoli XI: Reina; Hysaj, Albiol, Koulibaly, Mario Rui; Allan, Jorginho, Hamsik; Callejon, Mertens, Insigne.

What do we think the result will be? Love to see Napoli win but feel Juventus will do the business. Costa's been in great form and I can see him having a big game. I think 3-1 to Juve but hope I'm wrong.

I'd go with 3-1 too but would love to see Napoli do it

Can't see there being many goals tbh. Juve have kept it super tight against the top sides in the league this year. I'll go 1-0.

I was wondering what those red marks on the faces of the players and referee was about. Apparently it's to raise awareness of domestic violence.

Napoli will probably regret not getting on the scoreboard while Juve have been so poor.

0-0 at Half-Time. Napoli have done better than I expected although they haven't troubled Buffon too often.

Very intriguing game thus far, whoever scores first wins?

The nordie commentator on Bein is highly annoying.

I can't decide if this is a masterclass in game management and tactics or making themselves sitting ducks for a Napoli winner.

I thought the attacking players would influence this game but so far it's the defenders. Been impressed with Benatia and Koulibaly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

    YES!!!!

    Ohhhh get in.

Buffon didn't need to parry that out. He's be the worst player on the pitch today, very nervy all night.
