ffs Napoli down to 10 men

I can see why he was sent off, last man and it was a foul but it didn't look intentional to me, looked like he was trying to kick the ball but the Fiorentina player just touched it before him which meant he missed the ball.

So many twists and turns in this title race. Hope the race is still alive by the end of the evening.

1-0 to Fiorentina at Half-Time. Simeone with the goal. :(

Feck. 2-0 now. Simeone gets a second.

    All over now.

Disappointing but hard to have any sympathy for Naples this time round. Should have been well ahead in the league this year. Somehow they messed that up and could have found themselves nearly 10 points behind. Get themselves back in contention and within 10 minutes of a must win game, some donkey gets a red card. How stupid can you be. Napoli didn't just have one title shot this year, they've had two, and blew both. Deserve to lose

Nightmare. Looks like an awful end to a promising Sunday.
Should have just stayed outside in the nice weather.

    Happy 30k Mr.Nice Guy :)

    Such a shame for Napoli.

I think Juve will improve despite Chielini & Buffon aging.

There midfield bar Pjanic is very poor & Napoli will most likely lose players like Koulibaly,Jorginho,Mertens & possibly more.

Simeone gets a hat-trick as Fiorentina win 3-0. What a disappointing 24 hours in Serie A. Really thought the title race would make it to May but not to be.

0-0 at half time in the Torinio v Lazio match, not been a bad game but Immobile came off after about 15 mins with a hamstring injury so that's a big loss for Lazio. Sirigu saved a really poor pen from Luis Alberto too, hopefully Toro can get something from it to keep the battle for 4th alive, it could make for a huge game between Lazio and Inter on the final day if it's still close enough.

1-0 Lazio, good header by Milinkovic-Savic from a corner and I expect that to be that in the game and for Inters hopes of getting top 4, it's just been one of those weekends where nothing has gone the right way. Maybe the relegation battle will be interesting so there is still something to play for in the league on the final day.

Anyone watching Udinese v Inter? Fofana was just sent off against Inter in a very similar situation to Vecino against Juve, while I do like VAR and think that it leads to fairer decisions I also think that the ref watching slow motion replays of tackles makes them look a lot worse than they actually are and results in players being sent off when they wouldn't otherwise be, like today.

What a superbly entertaining game in Lazio

How Atlanta havent won this is beyond reasoning

Napoli dying on their arse as the season ends. The title run ended last weekend & when De Laurentis started having a go at Sarri on Friday it died.
Pity they couldn't keep going after beating Juve. Team will be changed next season so won't be in the title race. I agree with their president that Sarri never rotated enough & the last few months they've noticeably gotten less & less out of the front 3.
Lazio & Inter in match day 38 should be a belter after the draw Atalanta got at the Olympico today

I'd agree Napoli just had nothing left the last stretch. Getting that win over Juve feels like it took everything out of them.

Big win for Sassuolo over Sampdoria tonight that sees them safe.

Remember he was good before money and his agent ruined him.

Christ he won't have many offers after that performance. Enjoyable game, Pjanic is just a joy to watch.

Another useless performance from the Inter players, Lazio should secure 4th tomorrow and the game on the last day will mean nothing, total anti-climax but Inter only have themselves to blame.

Inter truly don't deserve to be in the CL next season, a completely woeful 2nd half of the season riddled with inconsistency and apparent apathy from some of the squad.

Something is rotten in this team and behind the scenes setup - if not rooted out this will just happen again and again.

If/when Icardi leaves if things haven't been sorted and a proper world class replacement bought then Inter could plummet much further down the table and the fans who moan about Icardi will realise just how valuable his goals were.

I wish the league just had 3 places. Inter & AC have been awful but Lazio will do nothing in the CL. De Vrij is gone & Milinkovic Savic will be sold too who are their best two players imo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,643 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Matteo Politano must be one of the most underrated players in Serie A. Been immense for Sassuolo this season and has stepped up against big teams. Can't imagine he'll be there for much longer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,643 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Crotone and Lazio 2-2 going into final seven minutes. Been a great game. Anyone watching? Crotone had been leading 2-1 but Milinkovic-Savic has just equalised.

Lot of interesting things happening at the bottom. Cagliari leading Fiorentina, Chievo leading Bologna, Udinese leading Verona as it stands.

Update: The above scores remain the same at Full-Time. Torino have also come from 1-0 down to beat SPAL. Plenty to play for heading into the final day.

Switched over for the last couple of minutes really hoping Crotone could get a winner, both Lazio and Inter have tried their hardest to throw away fourth. I think Inter need to win by 4 to go ahead of them and I can't see Inter scoring 4 never mind winning by that much, I suppose at least there is a very small chance so we might get an interesting game.

Still 5 teams who could end up in the last relegation spot, Napoli v Crotone could be a really interesting game next week with Napoli having nothing to play for and Crotone needing to a win really.
