Could you confirm the spelling is correct. I've cheated and gone on a couple of anagram solvers- there doesn't appear to be a single English language word which uses all letters.

I've looked at endings with -ism, -ish, -ier, -ime, -ine. I went through Scottish placenames. I've played around with 'Irish' + other words and 'Erin/ Eire' + other words. And I've dragged and dropped the letters in a variety of ways- my latest pidgin German word is "MEINWHEISIER", whatever that might mean

If the spelling is correct, I give up: reveal it and put me out of my misery

I tried the anagram solver for yours as well, they don't reveal proper nouns like American, but they should show wisenheimer (defined as: wise-cracking and clever). But you're right, I may have misspelled it, as it has a few spelling variations and I shifted letters around too many times - sorry namenot.
