And I eat no red meat... ah well, another experience missed ;)

Seriously, try it when you're on the mainland. Get a McChicken sandwich meal (or a Fillet-O-Fish meal) followed by a hot fudge sundae. :)

Well, could not either afford stuff like that. .. Just too expensive. Rarely even buy a machine coffee out and maybe a 40 cent sausage roll!!!! Just not my thing... ah well, I know you young ones who are earning enjoy it and that is really grand..

Worked out one day n dunne;s that if I bought soup anywhere it was E4.. For 4.99 I can get a whole large roast chicken.... it becomes second nature!

If thats true i'd be so envious.
I watched The Light Between Oceans a few weeks ago and think it would suit me well.
wouldn't like to live fully alone, but me on an island with someone to keep me warm at night, and i'm there!

came home late so had King sambo's and cup of tea:)

    I have three cats!

Small island here; about 1 and 1/2 miles by half a mile. Less than 20 of us now.

So peaceful.... need to be tough though ... And organised.

I saw the traller and know I have read the book or a copy. In the book their own baby dies. So they see the washed ashore one as theirs

Trouble later in life as incest looms..

It was an Irish book. Utterly riveting.. would love to read it again

Had the ultimate in comfort dinner last night, mash, beans and sausages. Twas delish.

Brekkie today was some soda bread with jam washed down with an extra large smoothie of pineapple/blueberries/banana made with coconut water.

Graces how do the people support themselves? Do they have to travel to the mainland to work? How long is the ferry crossing? Is there a lovely feel of community?

Just had a salad of pickled/oiled things. Artichoke, peppers, sundried tomatoes, olives, jalapeños, iceberg lettuce and quark.

Almost all old folk, and a very few who farm. About 10 minutes and islanders are very .... private folk. We have to be as we are close to each other.

    Mostly pensioners like me ..

And I am still a new blow in here . wrong to be pushy. Respect

Fine the folk I meet on the ferry etc

it is an environment like no other and fine for me. A different kind of Irish

I'm having spice burgers in a bun with I'm not sure yet with them. Maybe coleslaw, cheese and tomato.

Two spice burgers in a massive crusty bap with coleslaw and ketchup. Very tasty! Had no chips though, doubt I'd fit them in.

    A midweek Movie night.

Dry roasted peanuts. Fry's Chocolate Cream, Skittles and Terry's Chocolate Orange slices. I reckon these bowls will get refilled!

to be honest, I kinda half liked/half disliked the movie.
that was the second time i've seen it, and I was raging just as much as the first time, at the leading lady character. I wont give any spoilers.
I just like the idea of living alone on an island, with my very own MrFassbander to keep me company:pac:

tesco's bacon fries mmm. & a cappuccino at this hour because I've no teabags :(
