How can I buy off amazon.co.uk without using a credit card?

There are Amazon gift cards, which according to amazon.co.uk are sold at Tesco's and Spar though I don't know if that's only in the UK. I also don't know if these gift cards have an upper limit. I used 3V before but looking on Google now, that doesn't appear to be around anymore. What do you guys recommend?
