    Okay,

Since my last post was deemed unnecessary, I will try another,

Does anyone else think that perhaps Israel is trying to provoke a major event between the West, and Russia?

Considering they have already admitted to bombing a Nuclear Power Station in Syria?

    Honest opinions only.

It does look like it. They fired some rockets the other day which could have had major repurcussions if the Russians had assumed them American and retaliated.

No, current Israeli strategy with US help is to simply level a few of its neighbours and keep the Palestinians in abject poverty.

Working well for them since 2001.

    Nonsense.

The nature of the target and the response from the air defence systems immediately let Syria and Russia know it was an Israeli strike.

It was social media who made the assumption it was American cruise missiles, instead of Israeli jets.

Israel has its own agenda in Syria and it has nothing to do with trying to coax a war on their doorstep.

What would Israel (or anyone else for that matter) have to gain other than a massive crater where their country used to be from World War 3 breaking out?

I shall ask me good pal David Icke for his measured theories and advice on recent developments before pressing the big red nuke button

Israelis are probably happy with all the civil wars in the neighbourhood. Pan Arab Nationalism is much more of a threat to them.

Why would Israel lob any missiles at Syria in such a situation. What’s the explanation?

World war III not breaking out. Or not going nuclear. Instead an intense local war.

A full ground war which involves Iranian proxies, as it would, could justify a large Israeli incursion.

In what way would a tactical exchange between Russia and the USA aid Israel?

It's very simple really and tbh, I thought you had a handle on the complexities of Middle East relations but maybe not.

Iranian troops and Iranian proxy forces operate in southern Syria.

Israel and Iran are not friends, Israel doesn't like when Iran and her friends go around to play football in Israel's back garden, especially if its a nuclear football.

If The “truth” is the manufactured lies of extreme American imperialists and their allies like John Bolton er al, then I hope to remain unconvinced.

To answer your questions op no Israel are not involved in any provocation to trying to provoke ,

Israel has carried out Airstrikes inside of Syria since the start of the Syrian civil war ,
And they will keep doing so if they choose to the same applies to Iran .
If Israel wants a fight iran they will do so head on and nothing russia or America or Syria will stop them .

Sure. However the reports were that Russian bases were targeted. That might be misinformation but it remains cloudy.

The op was asking about whether a larger war in the region would benefit Israel. I cant see Israel not getting involved if it kicks off and Hezbollah etc are heavily involved. Israel will occupy some of Syria. This could happen anyway but under the cloud of a larger war it’s inevitable.

In general it seems that ultra zionists like yourself are the ones urging war on Syria. While claiming both that isn’t provocation you go onto describe acts of war.

And I’m pretty sure that the US could stop Israel. Obviously it won’t. But it could.

In fact I believe Hezbollah alone gave them a challenge in the last war.

However this is leading up to a possibly full scale war. And anything could happen in the fog.

Israel's current rhetoric is aimed at punishing Syria for allowing an Iranian footprint in Syria. Israel stated that if Iran attack Israel from within Syrian territory...Assad and Syria will pay the price, not Iran.

Although you are right, if Israel wanted to, airstrikes and ICBM's will do the trick...one shot at it though.

Firstly, Yes, Russian bases were targeted but Iranian proxy forces are co-located there. Isn't it amazing that no Russian troops were injured or killed in the Russian base?...Amazing.

Secondly, deliberately provoking a Regional conflict will certainly not help Israel, why anyone would think it would is....is mental. Israel has reacted to multiple counts of minor overspill from the Syrian conflict...to promote a larger Regional war only drags Israel into it. So, I agree with you there.

It's a clusterfcuk of a conflict, even partition wont work at this stage.

They seemed to be targeting Iranian personal and/or missile sites.

Its been so long since the first Cold War that I think they should have done a reboot rather than a direct sequel.
