Lexus Is220 - Still the dodgy head gasket issues in 08 model ?

I remember looking at 06/07 lexus IS220's a few years ago and a lot of people said here they were prone to head gaskets blowing. Is this still the case for 2008 model? 2.2 diesels.

Yes best avoided or buy a petrol one.

The 08 would be the same as the 05. They revised them in the IS200d which is essentially a detuned 220d. These are very rare and didn’t come till much later.
