It's an interesting idea. The article I saw it in ( https://www.rte.ie/news/business/2018/0412/953895-calor-biolpg-offer/ ) seemed a bit vague about sources of the gas - could the sources accommodate the demand by the whole country for gas?

BioLPG is a new 100% renewable fuel which is made from a mix of wastes and residues, and sustainably sourced vegetable oils. It is delivered, stored and used in exactly the same way as conventional LPG.

Here and in the UK LPG is usually 100% Propane
