Can't stand Pat "the cock" Courtney.
The sound effects need to stop.

Cant see it happening..as said its what the majority want (they summise) so it'll be there along with the "crazy duo" in the mornings.........Knew it wouldnt be long before they had a " celebrity" presenter..Hayes would love to get rid of the older jox....the irony..I'd imagine Juicy Lucy was on wikipedia all night looking up the term "rock music" .....:p....cant see her lasting tbh...

Interesting quote...“We’ve been plotting our return to radio for a while,” said Lucy

And this.....Radio Nova CEO Kevin Branigan said today: “We are very excited about our new breakfast show. Colm and Lucy have a great bond, they’re hilarious together and I think our Radio Nova listeners are going to really enjoy getting up in the morning and listening to this show. We have big ambitions for the station and this is just the start”

Start clearing out your lockers me thinks.....

Am listening to the classic album at the min so might have to listen to it again in the morning lol

Did they actually play Number of the Beast in the end? I thought I was hearing things when they announced it yesterday.

If the story came up when they were on breakfast, I doubt LK would know who Lindsey Buckingham is.

This new show could be Ed Sheeran's chance to get played on Nova !!!

What planet are you lot on? The hairy bikers leather convention was a ruse. They used the ultimate monikor of the golden era of pirates to suck you in and you were played like a sucka. They were never going to play anything other than mainstream titles on a constant rotation. They need to survive. They have a market top heavy with competition and a limited life span for the medium of radio over the forseable. They had good presenters but now they need to add someone that 'mammy with two kids on the way to school' can relate to, hence Lucy Kennedy. It's hardly radical but they will sell ads and improve what was a dreadful breakfast show. Many of nova's presenters like Greg, JC and weekend Pat are excellent but obviously Morticus Millar on the radio 'dude' and Pet Courtenay are acquired tastes.

Ha ha! Typical. Up to that point, I'd say they didn't even know who Iron Maiden were, probably thought it was some kind of sex toy.

, let’s not be shocked by new breakfast line up . A cursory google search shows an interview , recent I think, of CEO of Nova with radiodays.ie . It’s shocking but spells out the gospel according to Nova.

The irony that Liam Quiqley has been so good on brekkie should not be lost in Casteforbes

Looks like Nova's Facebook followers aren't exactly over the moon with the news of Hayes and Kennedy coming on board. It'll be interesting to see what way the ratings go once they're up and running.

Was going to say they couldn’t sink it any further into the sh*t than already has been but then I remembered who we are talking about..

Eoghan McDermott I have no doubt will be Nova's next big-name hiring.

Possibly! He tends to play Kerrang!-friendly pop rock bands on TBRH sometimes.

From what I'm reading here, he's the only dj that keeps somewhat close to what nova was meant to be about.

And Pat James and Tony Ainscough as well - classic rock.

Loving the increase of indie on the playlist, it really is making up for the loss of TX

Plays good music but he does have some annoying quirks.

I couldn't really take to him at first but he sort of just grows on you.
