Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm currently working on a map of Ireland, based on football, hurling and dual areas. Would love to hear about exceptions take football strongholds in Kilkenny or hurling in Donegal for example. Also interested in the divide in sports in dual counties like Cork and Galway.

In Kerry draw a line from Tralee due west and another due north.

Everything in that triangle bounded by those lines and the coast is hurling country.

South tipp mostly football, North and mid tipp is mostly hurling. Underage all clubs play both unlike mayo and alot of other counties.

Loughmore would be a famous dual club, won both hurling and football County titles in same year a number of years ago. There's a good few dual senior clubs but Loughmore the strongest in both.

North Kerry has a massive tradition of Hurling!

NorthWest of Tralee you have the Hurling villages of Abbeydorney, Ardfert, Kilmoyley, Ballyheigue, Causeway, Ballyduff, Lixnaw and kilflynn (Crotta).

The Kerry SHC Final usually attracts about 5,000 at it every year. A right good day out!
