Source, api, etc for listings?

I'm tired of the tools for finding property in this country and thought I'd make something better. Really I just want a map with sliders for some basic criteria, and not a bunch of fluff. I've got a basic prototype, but does anyone here know if there's some sort of MLS, or other real-estate api, that can be used? I wonder…
