Milan are so skint they can't afford to pay the refunds as their owner is about as rich as myself.

Lol. They should refund the Interisti who bought tickets. I know it's possibly a bit of a muddle for those who bought tickets for the home sectors but I'd say there's a way they can prove their Interisti. If someone bought a ticket for secondo verde then it's obvious, for others if they have an Interclub membership, tessera del tifoso or even if they have to present at the ticket office covered head-to-toe in nerazzurro (maybe a Milanista might be so desperate for his money back he'd go that far :D but I doubt it).

Jorge Sampaoli in La Gazzetta dello Sport today saying that despite not including Dybala and Icardi in his squad for the friendlies, which strongly suggests that both will miss out on the World Cup, he would always find a place in his team for Balotelli were he Argentinean... rrriiiggghhhttt!

Lautaro Martinez is supposed to be in with a shot of making the squad and Inter are said to be favourites to land him. Sampaoli went to see him play for Racing Club in Argentina a few months back and he scored a hat-trick. Sampaoli then went to see him again a few weeks later and he scored another hat-trick. He's got a superb scoring record and loads of European clubs are after him but from what I gather Diego Milito has been influential in making Inter favourites for him.

Yes, you're bang on with all of that. He's supposed to be very similar to Sergio Aguero but we've bought enough "superstars" from South America only for them to turn out duds that I'll wait until seeing him in nerazzurro (if he does in fact arrive) before judging. My incredulity at Sampaoli's statement isn't that he's dropped Dybala and Icardi in and of itself, Argentina have a plethora of fabulous attacking players, but the fact he's dropped those two and still says he'd find a place for Balotelli.

Lovely Gazzetta special on this morning on BT with a documentary to follow this evening at 10 after the Juve - Milan game.

Bonnuci had no problem celebrating scoring v Juve. Great goal by Dybala also.

Could prove to be a really important goal that.
Would love to see Juve drop points.
Give Napoli something to play for in their game in 3 weeks time.

They drew earlier. I'd bet my life savings on Juve beating them in a few weeks. No doubt Sarri will blame daylight savings or some crap for today's result. They got to play first & blew it again.

Oh yeah I know, that's what my other post was in reference to.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Napoli dropping points against Milan too, so would be happy to see Juve drop at least some here so as to keep it interesting.

Cant be on same time as CL. Seems crazy to have a full round of games on the same week anyways or are these the rearranged games?

Could be due to the postponed games a few weeks ago

Icardi makes it 1-0. Cool finish.

Edit: Spoke too soon as VAR comes to Milan's rescue. That is so tight that offside call. Back to 0-0.

Half-Time: Quite an even enough game but Inter looking more likely to score. VAR's offside call was marginally correct. Before that Icardi was almost in on goal but Brozovic overhit the pass.

Icardi has just had the miss of the season.

    It was an open goal!

Oh my goodness Icardi's missed another chance. Not as glaring a chance as the previous one but still a very good opportunity,

And it's all over. It ends 0-0. Amazing the game ended goalless. On another night Icardi could be coming away with a hat-trick. He should have had at least one.

Benevento draw against Juventus after 65 minutes... Who would predict that :)

Still half an hour to go...

Cheick Diabate has done very well for Benevento since they got him on loan in January. Pity Benevento couldn't hold out against Juventus.

Torino vs Inter should be a good morning game tomorrow, especially with Roma losing to Fiorentina. Chance now for Inter to grab third place.

Feel sorry for them. They were close, but they lack what Juventus and other Italian teams have.

Yeah it's crazy that at least one team hasn't made 3rd theirs yet and it could even come down to the last game when Inter play away to Lazio, it's set up for a proper one off game for CL football and could make it a very interesting last day.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,823 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

oh wow this could be a huge shock

    Some goal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,643 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Some impressive results for the teams fighting the drop. Verona and Crotone winning and Sassuolo getting a point away to Milan.

Pleased to hear Napoli turned it around against Chievo to keep the title race just about alive.

Feel a bit of pride for this league after their showing in the Europe this week. Hopefully Lazio can finish the job tomorrow.

Atalanta vs Inter Milan coming up. If Inter can get a win it would put a lot of pressure on Lazio and Roma tomorrow. Team news:
Atalanta XI: Berisha; Toloi, Caldara, Masiello; Hateboer, de Roon, Freuler, Gosens; Cristante; Barrow, Gomez.

Inter Milan XI: Handanovic; D'Ambrosio, Skriniar, Miranda, Santon; Gagliardini, Valero; Cancelo, Rafinha, Perisic; Icardi.

Tough game for Inter, poor away form recently so I have a feeling Atalanta will get something.
