Climote Water

Now that I've just had a Climote installed and the heating and water have now also been separated - I wake up to no hot water for my shower!! Even though I had the heating on for about 4 hours yesterday and 1 hour this morning !! Before the Climote install - heating the radiators meant that the water heated simultaneously. Now I'm wondering since the systems have been separated do I also have to program the water to heat no matter if the radiators are being heated or not? I'm confused! I believed the new system would facilitate heating water only (without heating radiators) in the summer but that for the rest of the Year the radiators would simultaneously heat the water as usual? Should this be the case or is there a problem with the Climote installation ?

Yes you need to programme the hot water too. If it's been done correctly, the heating and hot water will work independently or in conjunction with each other, depending on how you set up your programme.

heating the rads does not heat the water, you need to set the timer for the water to heat an hour or so before you get up. the procedure is the same as you use for setting timers for heating to come on
