Hi - any help would be appreciated on this.

I have a Virgin Media Hub 3.0 setup downstairs, connected via ethernet to my wall ethernet plug.

On my top floor I have my ethernet plug connected via cable to my tp-link router, connected to the ethernet port (also tried internet port).

The control panel is showing packets sent/received but I am not getting any internet when connecting to the tp-link wifi

Do I need to setup anything on the Virgin media hub settings? or specific settings on the tp-link control panel?

    Thanks for your help!

    Matthew

TP link needs to be configured as an AP.

    DHCP off
Static IP within the range of the Hub
Default Gateway is the hubs address

Thank you I REALLY appreciate the help on this.

I followed the instructions above and it works fine if I connect ethernet directly to the router and can access internet via AP.

However when I move my AP and connect through ethernet connection on my top floor there is no internet connection.

Is there anything I need to enable on the Virgin Media hub?

Thanks in advance, I really appreciate the help...

    Matthew

My first guess would be that you've a comms box somewhere that is missing a switch.
