Am looking for help as to where I stand. I have broadband from eir. Some months ago they sent me a new modem as they said my old one was out of date. I had no problem with this - installed and working fine. Yesterday I had a call at the door from an eir salesman. It was an inconvenient time so I didnt talk for long. He had a quick look and said I should have got an NTU box where the cable enters the house. What is point of this? I have not applied for fibre broadband as everything is working fine and I hear so many bad stories re eir I dont want anything mucked up. Help appreciated.

Anyone going door to door for Eir won't have a clue just ignore them.
