Transfered old photos from 2013, 2014 and 2015 to my 64gb SD card on my galaxy s7. Just checked the SD card, folders have been moved but they're empty.... Have I lost all those pictures? Loads of the kids so really hope not.....
SD card doesn't seem corrupted as I took a photo there and it saved straight to SD card. Any ideas?

Have you tried looking at the card on another device like a laptop or other phone?

You should be backing items like that either to google photos or flicker.

Tried it in another phone,no joy. Other folders I transfered are visible though on both phones. Any way I can access the empty ones??

Just discovered that I backed them up to my laptop, thankfully!
Do I just go into settings to back them up to google photos?

For photos from your phone, download the Google photos app and it will ask you whether you want to back up.

From your laptop, there's several ways. You could just go to photos.google.com, then you should be able to drag files from your laptop onto the webpage to upload.
