Walking the dog later. One cat abed with me. House chilly but i f sky stays clear, the dwelling will warm up by midday without lighting the fire..

Just back from a gentle walk with the dog; well, I walked, she sprinted, delighted to be out..

The cat came too.. as always.... padding along behind us.. doggedly,...

Am in love with this idyllic island,.. Blue sky, a hint of freshness in the spring air, a lark ecstatic.

Ambled as far as my nearest neighbours along that lane; an "odd couple: , tall donkey with an impressive cross on his back, with the sweetest tiny, black pony as companion.. They came to be petted... soft springy-furred noses..

Gleaned some odd bits of curled gnarled wood..

Done the vegetables for a meal and at peace.. Cat has dropped fast asleep...roof is ticking as the sun gets higher... Resting a while..
