I like the Lidl 3 pack pepperoni. What value!

If you like a crisp base (I hate sloppy), then put it one of those perforated oven dishes they recommend for oven chips and place in centre of oven.

Goodfellas take away are nice they do a chicken one or a meat feast one. Proper size too, a lot of frozen pizzas I nearly need two for myself.

Not actually frozen as it's in the fridge but aldi so a nice one too in their sort of fancy range, a spicy salamy type one one and a chicken one. It's a sort of oval shape and kept near the soups etc rather than the freezer.

Anyone else think there is never enough sauce on these pizzas?

A good dip of Frank's sauce should sort that out!

I used to love Goodfellas pizzas about 15 years ago, and then they totally changed and I haven't been a fan of them since.

I'd rarely eat shop bought pizzas these days, but the nicest I have found are the Chicago Town stuffed (with tomato sauce) crust pizzas

the Milano ones Tesco do are great, but not worth it unless they're on offer 1/2 price.

Goodfellas Stone Baked Pepperoni or Chicago Town stuffed crust or Chicago Town Chicken and Bacon.

It all depends on the mood really.

The Dr. Oecter ones cook a bit faster, so a pro tip is to get one of them, put your Chicago Town and Dr. O one in the oven at the same time. Then eat the Dr O one as a snack when cooked while waiting for the real one to finish.

Goodfellas used to have a pizza called Nacho fella. It was spicy with nachos and cheese. I loved it. I'd always end up with diarrhoea the next day but it still didn't put me off. I used to call it the gut buster.

There's a double pepperoni one in ALDI for 65 cent and it's savage.

Anyone remember the Inferno pizzas in lidl?

Back in the horse meat, ham burger crisis of 2013 I remember the
wise words of the Butcher 'when it became cheaper than dog food what
did people think was in it"?

Goodfellas Takeaway Mighty Meat, or Green Isle Gigantic Meat feast.

Although both I heat from defrosted at a lower temp, after spreading around the toppings, and adding extra mozzarella, half way through. Prefer it to be a floppier pizza, with the cheese really stringy.

Should add that the Milano Sloppy Gieseppi, are not Tesco's own, but the Irish name for Pizza Express in the UK, and their frozen range. Not a fan to be honest, despite liking the Pizza Express restaurants.

Like the spicy one you get in the fridge in Aldi. It’s about 4 quid. Best washed down with 8 cans of lager.

The Aldi stonebaked one with spinach, ricotta and caramelised onions. Drool.

These are the oval shape ones from the fridge in the black package? These are the best shop bought pizza imho. Best cheap ones are the frozen lidl ones, 4 in a box. Forget about goodfellas.

That’s the one. The spicy one is very hot, and is covered in chilli. Has the potential to blow the hole off you the next day if you’re not used to spicy food. Be warned. :(

Not oval but I know the ones you mean; they're also excellent.

The one I mentioned comes from the freezer cabinet & has a black box. Priced at €2.49 IIRC.

Haven't had a goodfellas in years, they're terrible, I agree.

Yes it's loaded with jalapenos. It's nice but make sure you have plenty of cold milk and toilet paper in the fridge. :D

Lidls own brand (Deliziosa). We buy the margherita one and then add whatever we want (mozarella, anchovies, ham, salami, ...). They have a thin crust like the dr oetker ones.

They're my favourite by far, and dirt cheap. But I'd even take them over a goodfellas pizza if the prices were the other way around.

No no no sorry to spoil the party folks but pizza is bad for you. A large bowl of kale is what you should be having if you are feeling peckish.

Aldi have an incredible Hoisin Duck pizza for €2. It's my automatic go to now.

You disappoint me with your recommendation. Obviously the general taste of hoisin duck is nice but this pizza has the same nondescript cardboard base you find on the lowest quality pizzas.

I need to get some of those spicy pizzas pronto :D
