    First Draft

    DDG- Dubravka
Otamendi- Mee- Robertson - Naughton- Yedlin
Salah- Sterling- Willian - Son - Gudmondson
    Lukaku- Aubameyang - Barnes

Thanks to Cartman's excell I can see that I have 28 players for the DGW34 bench boost and 11 for GW35.
A bit Skinny on DGW 37 with only 4 doubles, but I should have 3 FT's to rectify that and plan to play TC

    Thoughts?
    Too much Burnley?

It's hard not to have at least 1 City attacker!

    First draft

    Fabianski, de Gea
    Tarkowski, Vertonghen, Mariappa, Chilwell, Monreal
    Salah, Mkhitaryan, Mahrez, Son, Kenedy
    Lukaku, Barnes, Aubameyang

Not happy doing without City cover. More tweaking is needed I think..

Madness, quite possibly, but I have gone without any City players due to the risk of rotation coupled with the chance some players might only be operating at 90% with the league won and important CL fixtures to come.

Also thinking of just keeping Salah and shipping Firmino for a similar reason - Klopp was giving out about the Everton fixture and the CL games, could see him resting Robertson etc. in the league perhaps around the CL games.

Chilwell seems to be making a lot of mistakes, I'm not sure how much in danger his place is though.

Had great hopes for Chilwell but he has not delivered the attacking points I would have expected - if you can stretch to it, perhaps Morgan at 4.4 might be a safer bet, or Simpson also at 4.3 seems to have got back into the team lately after his injury though perhaps still could be rotated especially with the DGWs

Is Chris Wood certain to play? His play time seemed patchy even before his injury laid him low.

Morgan for me. I’m going into these doubles targeting consistent starts. Morgan is a rock.

Barnes and Gudmondson are both good picks but having both is probably overkill alright. How about Kenedy instead of Gudm? Or even Andy King?

I'm a bit wary of keeping Otamendi in my wc, especially with not having the FH left. Gw35 could be an ideal week to rest him if they've the league won and are still in the CL.

    Good advice.
Gudmondson to Kenedy and Yedlin to Morgan (to avoid 3 Newcastle).
    Sound good?

    Is Kenedy nailed on?

He seems to be, the only problem I'd see is that he has been subbed early a couple of times...56 mins against Palace and 63 against Bournemouth. Whereas Gudmondson gets the 90 nearly every game. Burnley have only scored 27 goals too.

Going with Ki instead of Gudmondson for now.

    Firmino Depoitre Wilson

    First Draft

    DDG Fabianski

Christensen more nailed on than Rudiger?

Been looking at budget defenders this evening.
I've stumbled across a cheap-as-chips defence, with decent rotation, and what as far as I can tell are 5 regular starters:

    Dummett 4.2
    Mariappa 4.2
    Chilwell 4.3
    Lowton 4.4
    van der Hoorn 4.4

I've discounted GW35, as I'll be using the FH that week.
Going with all 5 would probably be a bit too risky for my taste, but 3 or even 4 of them could make their way in. Definitely looking at those teams for the run-in anyway.

Looks good but Chilwell and Mariappa are the main risks there

Morgan from leic city will have a double double and is 4.4.

Yeah, hadn't considered Mariappa at all as they don't have a double, just came across him when I went looking for cheap starters. They have some decent home fixtures.

As others have mentioned, Morgan is an alternative to Chilwell for only 0.1 more.

When does the deadline for collecting 10 YC and a two-game ban pass?
Some notable names on that list are:
    Morata - 9
    Maguire - 8
    Otamendi - 8
    Murray -7
    Barnes - 7
    Milojevic - 7
    Valencia - 7
    Doucoure - 7

Lejeune Newcastle at 4.3 looks good for a cheap list as well. And a really nice set of fixtures.
Not sure how nailed on he is, played last 4 games but missed previous 8 prior to that.

(edit : just seen you have Dummett on your list at .1 cheaper)

Wouldn't keep both varduy and mahrez in team and it seems Leicester have nothing substantial to play for the rest of season. Would consider willian for mahrez and upgrade ogbonna to an arsenal defender

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 270 ✭✭sanket

Looks like a final draft most certainly.
    Cech fabianzski
    Alonso otamendi smalling morgan rosenior
    Salah willian son mkhi mctominay
    Vardy Lukaku firmino

Only regret is not getting any city attacking players and 5 starting defenders for my BB. Thots?.but i feel once the title is wrapped we will see many academy players getting a start and pep tinkering his team frequently. Also slight fear otamendis starting spot under threat after title win.

Like many, have also gone Cityless in my wc draft.

Combination of rotation and fixtures doing it for me. I just don't like the uncertainty of not being sure you will take full advantage of the dgw, and the fixtures running into that dgw are tough.

Will likely get at least one back in for bgw 35 when they have Swansea at home. Hopefully it might be more clear who might start then.

    B. Silva, Laporte and Jesus could all be options at lower prices

Interesting - I'll look at doing the same maybe.

Had Sterling in earlier drafts...Dilva in for the minute now but may go without as they'll have nothing to play for pretty soon

Surely city will be going all out for the 100 points in a season mark. I read somewhere that pep was looking to do that, that its only been done by a handful of clubs in Europe ever.

Considering going without any City as well, so that I can work in Alonso or Azpilicueta for Chelsea, although both will make a Kane return even more difficult.
