    Yes I'd say they would need painting every year to keep them in decent condition and would be a complete pain to do.

    That kitchen is awful, my god. It looks so flimsy and cheap. I had a similar kitchen when we bought our house, was some shoddy self built and it was disgusting, I have no words.
