Slightly off-putting watching both teams playing in blue. It's not a full on kit clash but I'd prefer to see Napoli in an away strip.

I hadn't even thought about it, with the black on the Inter one it makes them different enough I think.

This is a really good game even if it is still nil nil.

Skriniar and Koulibaly have been very good, as they've been all season.

Sarri's subs baffle me at times. Takes off Hamsik in every game & brings on Milik very late.

    Damn disappointing match for me

Sad to see Napoli falling away for challenging but they just don't have the squad for it.

Poor Icardi was more or less on his own all game up front.

Full-Time: 0-0 it ends. Skriniar the MOTM for me. Very impressed with how he dealt with Mertens and Insigne. Love to see him at United. Hope Jose was watching.

Poor match but good atmosphere. I was in the curva and after about twenty minutes a lot of people started to sarcastically encourage the players to play it back to Samir. Both teams looked finished to be honest. Inter may, may, get into the CL by virtue of the fact that Lazio look gone as well but you have to ask what impression we'd make. Any of the English, Spanish or German sides would go through us for a shortcut. To be honest, I think we'd struggle against even the Russian or Turkish teams and no disrespect but I think even Celtic could turn us over. If Suning's ambition is to get the money attached to the groups, OK, but it's far from representative of our history.

I'd agree with Skrinio being MoM. Perisic was a f*cking disgrace. People were getting on Eder's back but at least he tries. Ivan is looking at the World Cup and that's it. I liked Candreva's performance. Again, not brilliant but at least he tried.

Not even a word about what's probably the goal of the season by Immobile ? :pac:

"I've worked with this team every day and I think there is simply a lack of quality,"

"Napoli have quality, we don’t have much."

    Truly inspirational words from Spalletti

Just saw this today on the highlights show. Amazing goal and in the last minute as well.

Spal have helped their survival hopes and breathed life into the title race by holding Juventus to a goalless draw at home.

I only saw the last couple of minutes but they defended well. I think Kurtic though was fortunate not to be sent off for a bad challenge on Asamoah. Studs were up but he got away with a yellow.

Samp v Inter kicks off at 11:30, it'll be a difficult game for Inter which I don't expect them to win but a win is needed to go back into the top 4. Line ups are:

Sampdoria: Viviano; Bereszynski, Silvestre, Ferrari, Murru; Barreto, Torreira, Praet; Ramirez; Quagliarella, Duvan Zapata

Inter: Handanovic; Cancelo, Skriniar, Miranda, D’Ambrosio; Gagliardini, Brozovic; Candreva, Rafinha, Perisic; Icardi

Inter well on top and should of been winning but only for a dreadful dreadful attempt by Rafinha

Well that was unexpected, Inter actually playing well and while Samp haven't been good it's much better from Inter. I just hope that it can be the start of a good run from here until the end of the season.

When you think of the performance last week, which I didn't think was brilliant but was still a strong tactical performance against the second best team in the league and today where everything has just clicked it really makes the recent run show these players for what they are.

I thought last week was a good performance considering who we were playing and definitely better than anything we've seen from the players since Chievo. I also expected a really tough game today because Samp have a excellent record at home this season so I'm very happy with the first half performance and hopeful that we can build from that for the next few months.

Spallettti should be looking at taking Icardi, Rafinha and possibly Skriniar to protect them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 870 ✭✭✭FCIM

I'd be interested to see the reaction of the Doriani if Skriniar was substituted. Is it just the Wanda Nara/Maxi Lopez thing that makes the Samp supporters hate Icardi or do they feel betrayed in some way because he left?

Another week where Candreva deserves applause leaving the field in my opinion. He's definitely the less talented of the two wingers but I almost always feel that he puts in more effort. I have a big soft spot for players who work hard (it's probably why I am one of the few Interisti who doesn't hate Eder because I recognise he's rubbish but he works hard and I always had massive affection for Nagatomo for the same reason).

Rafinha off, played well. Spalletti should have a word with him though about not diving in at 5-0, taking a pointless yellow card and especially when he's coming back from injury.

I agree about Candreva putting in the effort lately, the most frustrating thing is that he isn't able to score this season, should have scored when Perisic set him up just before he was taken off. Eder isn't that bad of a player, a good player to have on the bench and for when Icardi is out and I think he showed that when Icardi was injured. I think Naga is one of those players that is hard to dislike, there was a reason he and Materazzi got on well.

I'd agree with Eder. An awful lot of Interisti despise him though. I think he is "rubbish" as per the level a club like Inter should expect to be at. He wouldn't have gotten near the bench even if he had been around in Mancini's first side or Mourinho's. Not his fault, but I do agree that there are worse players around who could be our first substitute for Icardi and I don't understand the vitriol a lot of Interisti spout at him. Perisic is the one who frustrates me most, well, possibly alongside Brozovic because quite often he just doesn't try, even today I would question his effort for parts of the game.

Great result for Inter today, they might get that CL spot yet.

Europa league could be Lazio's undoing

Pleased that Napoli capitalised on Juve's dropped points yesterday. Title race back on now. Would be cool if the Juve vs Napoli game on April 22nd was for top spot.

I'd like to see Lazio win the EL, not just because them going far in it will help Inter but it'd be good for the league to have 5 teams in the CL next year.

What are Milan playing at with the tickets for the derby eh? Apparently their way of dealing with the issue of match tickets purchased by people for games which are postponed and who then can't make the rescheduled game is, which is normal throughout Italy as far as I am aware, to offer the opportunity to change the name on the ticket to somebody who can go. If the person doesn't know anybody to change the name to then they'll reimburse by way of a voucher which can be used for another Milan match. Seems a bit "Ryanair" but it's not as bad as if they just refused to make any recompense. Except that they've announced they intend to do it for all the tickets sold to people in that situation, including Interisti who bought them. So they expect Interisti who bought tickets in good faith for the derby only for it to be, completely justifiably, postponed but who then can't go to the rescheduled match and don't know anybody to change the name on the ticket to, to take vouchers which can only be used for Milan matches before the end of the season. You couldn't make it up.

Milan are so skint they can't afford to pay the refunds as their owner is about as rich as myself.
