    The finest Uilleann Piper I've ever seen. A loss for Irish music and music across the world. He was special. RIP.

    Was lucky to catch him a few times in Galway with Arty MCGlynn and with Planxty in 2004 and LAPD at Electric Picnic, one of my favourites along with Paddy Keenan and Felix Doran.

    Saw him play with planxty in vicar street. Truly mesmerising musician. The man could make pipes sing. His talent will be missed.

    In tears here listening to the above tracks. Saw himself and Michael O Suilleabhan in the Concert Hall years ago. Mesmerising.
