I contacted the show. They came back to me. Basically they said there was a giveaway tomorrow on their show connected to the EP. i.e. nothing to do with a line up.

They've no English dates yet either and apparently turned down Reading and Leeds to do their own shows I just think it might be the same with EP and they'll play their own show a bit later in the year.

They turned down R+L to do 4 nights in Sheffield outdoors in Sept. The last month of the year anyone would risk outdoors gigs. They won't have an Irish outdoor show after that so would have to be EP just before it.

    We'll know tomorow anyway

Good chance that "Garbage" might play as well, looking at the tour schedule, they are playing at Edinburgh Festival on September 4th, so theres a bit of room there for an appearance, would be nice....

Cmon, Brezzy is a sensitive chap. Don't speak about his band like that.

Leinster Express accidentally posted tomorrow morning's article and removed it, but not before google picked it up.

    https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:SHgBGx-dFxwJ:https://www.leinsterexpress.ie/news/electric-picnic/302546/line-up-announced-this-morning-for-electric-picnic-2018.html+&cd=7&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=ie

Obviously all speculation but some more names in there I'd not seen ruled out here yet!

"The young ones will be hoping Ed Sheeran will return to Laois or perhaps Picture This might swing by Laois as they have a couple of big gigs this summer including a night at the RDS in June."

No one is hoping for this

    Basically a nothing article!
It also says Arctic Monkeys have released new material in the last year (they haven't) although they could end up being right about them and Kendrick Lamar headlining.

Just heard about the passing on of Liam O'Flynn the fantastic Planxty piper, a little memory of Electric Picnic where he played with LAPD in 2012. RIP Liam.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

My predictions from what I've heard off people so far, take with a pinch of salt as these are never 100% certs
when I hear the day before:

Arctic Monkeys, London Grammar, MIA, Hozier, Grace Jones, David Guetta, Plan B, St. Vincent.

London grammar played last year while Grace Jones and plan b are playing elsewhere so that's them out. David guetta? The year he plays will be the last

Jaysus that article was a load of old hoop. Ed Sheeran is as likely to play EP as Cradle of Filth. Eminem as well. I'm guessing the writer looked up old Oxegen lineups for ideas.

I suppose this is okay. Doesn't blow me away or anything but it would be fine.

I thought the streets were no more....?

Chvrches released a new single last week, been a few years since they played. I'd imagine they're guaranteed.

    No, the streets are touring.

Thats the bit that makes it vaguely credible. Id be very happy with that

I did not know that. How did I not know that?

I'm getting older and more out of touch every year.

The Streets are back & there's some new stuff, I think. He/they'd be brilliant. Sorry I missed the first time. If that list is right, I'm onto a winner!!

I have no idea why... But I believe reggie...

How solid is this source reggie?

Hard to believe muse?? Seem to big dare i say it... Ice cube is also quiet random but listen I want to believe that line up, it would be better than I would have hoped for

I've said it before I know someone very close with Muse, Although very unlikely he tells me every year that they would absolutely love to play the EP. The world is a big place but he said they play the same venues all the time, always looking for new things. But everything needs to fall into place perfectly, dates, locations etc. They don't mess around when touring, particularly now they have kids.

I don’t doubt these artists showing up. Only reason I doubt it is that there’s not many female acts mentioned.

    One? Chvrches, doubtful

There was easily 30 acts announced in the first round last year so even if Reggie's source is correct surely we're short about another 10-15 acts!!!!!
