Obviously not in his plans yet.john walsh didn't get much of a chance but he obviously wasn't doing it in training matches.im dissapointed to hear walsh and chris bolger dropped but with over 50 in their he had to cut it with the league nearly over.

    Joe Lyng still on panel?

I suppose important to get the win but we made it hard for ourselves.unlucky tj and aylward didn't get the goals to put real daylight between the teams.I thought joey was good today.also morrissey grew into the game.leahy ran himself into the ground he was brilliant in the first half.
Ger aylward had a good first half and it's good to see him back.
Lyng and mossy replaced again and walter wasn't as effective.I thought he was slow enough to make a change as we were struggling on the half foward line.
Overall important to get that win and we move onto offally next weekend.

Nice to get the win but Jaysus they're tough to beat. Just keep dogging away and stay within striking distance backing their fitness in the last 10 to push them over the line.

Important to beat them though. Other than Chin who were they missing?

Thought Joey was immense. His lines of running to take a pass off other defenders is brilliant.

Thought Enda Morrisey was good on a lad a head taller than him.

    Bucks was patchy.

Leahy was serious in the first half. That point at the end of the half was pure class. Struggled in the 2nd half and looked very tired by the end.

    TJ was TJ.

Thought Walter was poor and I think Ryan has his number.

Decent first outing for Aylward. He just needs games, games and more games.

Happy enough. Also really like the style of play at times.

    Onwards and upwards.

Guiney and paul morris although he came on.aidan nolan will probably start and their goalie fanning didn't start.
Very impressed with brennan in our goal his very confident.
Joey in fairness to him is after a few good games in the corner.
Delaney was quite enough I thought morrisey was better and is improving.

You obviously haven't a clue. Enjoy the soccer tomorrow.

    Good lad :D

And if you think that the Tipp and Waterford teams today are the strongest available you are a far bigger fool than I was giving you credit for!

Thought paudie foley was good for wexford.blanchfeld done some good things when introduced.
Offally is a winnable game next week I wouldn't mind seeing tj rested.
Mossy might be better brought on when a game opens up.it hasn't happened for him and lyng the last 2 matches.

I was talking to an ex county hurler at a wedding last night who's involved with underage teams in Mullinavat and according to him the 5 Mullinavat guys were cut from the panel.

He had a few pints down at this stage so he didn't mince his words, John Walsh "thinks he's a superstar since he won a minor All Ireland a few years back", Tom Aylward "just doesn't want it enough" and the other 3(the 2 Malones and Mark Mansfield) "are just not f***** good enough".

I think its more the fact that John Walsh is too small and light for intercounty hurling at the moment rather than his attitude, doesn't have the pace or skill to make up for it. Hopefully he will at some stage in the future.

I had high hopes for him after 2014 but to use a horse racing term he hasn't trained on. I know guys can improve at any stage up to their mid 20's but personally i have kinda given up on him.

The one thing he has over the likes of Sean Morrissey is that he has the ability to score heavily in the senior county championship if he sticks at it and bulks up a bit I think he could get a second chance.

    Classic RTÉ.

It seems they didn’t bother to look at the table properly.

Kilkenny should be ahead of Tipp and Waterford should be ahead of Cork, seeing as they are going on head to head.

The key thing to remember in the Allianz HL is that if two teams finish on the same number of points, then head-to-head is the deciding factor in which team finished above the other.

But if more than two teams are stuck on the same number of points, then points difference is the deciding factor.

Thought that the team did very well today, great to get the win against Wexford at last. Very impressed with the backs, especially Joey and Enda, doing great work. Be interesting to see what kind of team is put out against Offaly, would like to see the likes of TJ and Buckley being rested though. The risk of injury when playing Offaly is pretty high too, don't need anyone going down.

John walsh probably the same size as scanlon who came on today.is bill sheehan dropped I definitely think he has something but it'll take a few years to get him ready for championship hurling.
I seen john walsh a few times last year at club and he was their main scoring threat.
I'm surprised himself and bolger were dropped I hope they try put the head down and force their way back with good club performances.
Does anyone know when murphy and fennelly are back?i think it's a few weeks is it?

I think 'available' is the operative word. As you couldn't even bother to back up your one liners consider this one. Michael Ryan moved Ronan Maher back to his best position and started Padraig Maher. He certainly appeared to play the best AVAILABLE team. And can you tell us what other regular players Derek McGrath could have used?

And please respect others opinions and less of the insults.

Read that on twitter on the42.ie a few hours ago so i assume it has been decided.
    I guess it makes sense as it would be 1st v 4th and 2nd v 3rd.

If anyone was listening to john mullane today, it’s tipp all Ireland. Never heard such a load of rubbish, praising every tipp player as some kind of hurling savors. Almost as bad as last year when he wanted to give the Galway fitness trainer the freedom of Galway after league final.

Any way I give kk a right shout in Leinster now, the team is beginning to gel and with the likes of Richie and a few others to come back, no body will want to play them. Huge defeat for Galway today in their home patch, people bigging them up but back to back titles are hard won.

Ah John's an emotional man, he likes to nail his colours to the mast! And personally i think Tipp are to the most likely All Ireland winners. Would i be surprised if the didn't win it? Of course not, they are Tipp after all!

So you think they'll probably win it, but then again probably not as Clare, Limerick and Offaly are more likely to win it because they are not Tipp. Yeah, clear enough.

Galway lost the same promotion match last year at the same venue and didn't do them any harm in the long run.

And in fairness to John Mullane I don't think he loathes every Tipp player.

Maybe I'm missing something but where did he state or even infer that Offaly are more likely to win it than Tipp.
