Kearney still getting criticism on here.....has had a very solid first 40 and involved in a lot of positive moves.

Such a messy half of rugby from both sides. Irelands defence the difference at the moment.

3 lineouts lost on own throw. 4 turnovers against head at breakdown. However many knock on sand obstructions. We are very lucky today.

Stockdale will be a record breaker with all the trys.

He's been very good in the first 40.

Only criticism is the missed tackle on Jones that eventually led to nothing.

Irish rugby fans are genuinely the worst.

Thought Kearney did brilliant to hold on there. Far too much cover coming across. If he let that go early we were fecked

That was a great try at the end, but my goodness we make hard work for ourselves when we have the ball.

What is it with our infatuation of passing the ball to static forwards over and over and over again?

I said it earlier but he deserves a little bit of criticism for that very weak tackle just before Sexton's try saving tackle. Otherwise he's having as solid a game as ever.

Remember a few years ago we had wingers who could hit rucks all day long.
Now we've one who scores tries instead.
Conservative Joe. Picking a winger who can only do one thing. Score tries.

Very poor from Kearney there. Should have kicked or passed

How? he cut back in, put in a lovely pass. Otherwise it's 7-3 at half time

That rustiness I brought up on Ringrose, yeah forget that
Looks better today than he has at all this season. I thought the assist for the try was Sexton given the flat speed of it.

Need Scannell to get and stay fit IMO.

I think when Henshaw comes back for Aki, we will have a sensational backline. I've been really underwhelmed by Aki in a green Jersey so far. Makes way too many mistakes for this level.

Really lucky to be ahead, but maybe that's the difference between an entertaining team and a winning one. Need to tighten it up and not play Scotland's game

Stockdale will be a record breaker with all the trys.

Another six tries and he's into the all-time top-ten.

Hasn't even been playing for a full year for Ireland.

Stockdale just keeps scoring :) very impressive and if injury free could smash the try scoring record and be a legend for Ireland in years to come :)

Is it time to bring Hendo on? Good Lord, how much more can I take. How is stander playing?

Ringrose does not look like a guy with just one game under his belt, some very nice touches.

And Stockdale is just a try scoring machine.........

If ever a scoreline didnt reflect a half of rugby, that one doesnt. But we'll take it. I have confidence that Joe can steady the ship at half time.

This is tough viewing to watch. It is a nerve racking match with so much intensity currently at play on the pitch. I don't see Ireland winning a BP in this game. I would say that in the manner is going so far; Ireland will probably win by a try against Scotland today. You have to remember from last year that Scotland won against Ireland at Murrayfield. Within that single game; it ruined Ireland's only chance of winning a GS for the whole tournament in 2017. What I'm concerned about from this game today with how Scotland are playing so far in that they could have the same effect in beating Ireland again when they are currently unbeaten with the final weekend of having a shot of winning the GS at Twickenham.

Ireland must win this game at any cost against Scotland to try and maintain their winning mentality to obtain their chance of winning this year's championship. Scotland's tail are currently up after their big win against England at Murrayfield 2 weeks ago. Their confidence must be shown to be striving against Ireland if they are going to have a chance of winning the championship today. They also cannot be seen to lose against Ireland because that will hit their confidence. This is a high stakes game with a lot of risk involved for either team. Both teams have a big risk of losing out on a possibility of winning something tangible in this championship. Both teams cannot be seen to fail at this match. They both have a mentality of trying to win against their opposition against all costs. The final result will swing big for either team if is a BP win is on the agenda.

EDIT: I seen Stockdale's try earlier which was a great lucky break after a vital mistake took hold from Scotland. Lucky breaks seem to a have a theme of failing for Scotland attempting to score tries against Ireland. The pendulum is currently leading in Ireland's favour with 2 tries up against Scotland with a great try from Stockdale. 14 -3 is nice lead for Ireland from this 1st half in this match. If Ireland continue on this trend; they will trundle along very nicely to get the BP today to win the GS next weekend in London. C'mon Ireland.

Kearney Ringrose and Leavy the standout players in the first half

Confident with what the bench has to bring for us

Failing to see with POM is bringing to our game however

Ringrose doing nicely as is Leavy.

Stockdale is some boy for the line.

godd game Ireland are actually playing their best so far. Scotland are lovely to watch 14 10 would be a more fairer score line.

The team with the better pack is bashing them up front and when they get over the gain line, have moved it.

The other team are moving it wide quickly and repeatedly.

One approach is being far more effective.

I think we started out that half with an intent to play a phase game, just hammer them again and again. Perhaps the intention is to tire them early and then reap the results of that with our bench. Not saying it has worked but I think that was the original plan. Let's see how we go in the second half.
