Samsung A3 - Sound working only through headphones

    Hello !

So, I got this Samsung Galaxy A3. Sometimes the sound wasn't working, but after restarting it, it was all good again.

For few days now I have the same issue, zero sound, except from phone calls, but no ringtone, no alarm, or notifications.

I googled the issue, emptied the cache, wipe and restore with factory settings, nothing is working. I didn't change any settings lately, it didn't drop into the snow or water.

It works however if I plug the headphones on.

Do you have any idea on what exactly could be wrong and how to fix it, beside keeping the headphone on a permanent basis or get a new phone ?

    Thanks !:)

    Loudspeakers dead.

    Probably not economical to repair.

But it died just like this ? Like literally nothing happened to it, no fall or anything :/

How long have you had it and where did you get it from? It might still be under warranty.

    This too shall pass.

Yep, happened me before on the first HTC One, loudspeaker just gave up the ghost, had to use earphones for ages til I could afford another phone.

I bought it in France 2 years ago, I don't think it's still under warranty unfortunately :/

Ok then... It's just annoying for the alaram and some audio, but since phone calls are still working, I think I can survive with it for now :)
