Also wtf now Eileen being like "you didn't answer your phone when Michael died" - right well that's what a year to two years late as a revelation? I'd rather see Pat crumble wi guilt and reveal what happened wi Michael than a pishy "Oh you didn't answer my call".

Next week will be the climax of a story thats been building for as you say nearly two years. It should be an explosive conclusion. If its not, I think Kate Oates should resign, and whether that happens or not, I will have to seriously reconsider whether to continuing to watch.

I've been let down by TV shows before and am cautious about getting disappointed again. Mostly programmes I've not invested as much as 1 percent of the time in as I have Corrie. The only think keeping me watching the past year has been Pat Phelans demise. It had better be good.

I think that Tim really is a quality actor - I would love to see him being the one to take Phelan down properly - nice and calmly, that was a great scene in the taxi

The character was going down the road if being a moron - those football kick abouts with Steve McDonald (who IS awful) and some footballer last year were utterly embarrassing

The whole Anna allegedly pushing Seb off the ladder thing has me baffled. How come Rosie failed to mention that Pat was in the office shortly after, when he planting the ear ring,I realise Rosie didnt know he was doing this but surely this will come out as well!

Two things didn't wash with me over the Pat saga last night.

    1. There is no way in hell Eileen would send Todd to prison. She's hanging on your hope that he'll come back so she definitely would not see him sent down.

    2. I don't understand why Pat didn't try and bluff his way out of the whole 'confession' thing.
Like he could easily have said that he was only winding Tim up. The 'confession' sounded so sarcastic anyhow that saying that wouldn't have been implausible.

Is it too much to assume the writers will be clever enough to have Dozy remember this event suddenly in a way that only Dozy could?

Also Mary, Jude and Angie. Extremely tedious. And I've complained about this before, but him calling her "Mum" really really winds me up.

I had genuinely forgotten about them, thought they had gone back to South Africa.

Her post-natal depression thing was dropped very suddenly.

Odd how she can't get a job in the Greater Manchester area as an accountant or financial advisor. It's smaller than Co. Dublin and has over 3,000,000 people. He can't get a job in environmental science either. Totally daft.

In fairness there is no accountancy firm or environmental science firm on the actual street, so no jobs and its a crazy long walk to Balaclava Terrace.

The Kabin - which opened just after the battle of Hastings - didn't have a accountant before Angie, ya right.

Anyway Angie now has a tiny newsagent and a backstreet solicitor firm to do the accounts for so that is a full time job for her!

If that brewery site ever finishes they may have an environmental science job!

Hopefully Jude and Angie get to stay as background characters - they bring nothing to the show.

Speaking of which - I want Dev's job; appear now and again, look uncomfortable and few high pitched shrieks and get well paid!

Another vital component of Dev's role is to go out with a woman from the street, and have her move in with him as soon as possible.

    In terms of randomness

Roy and Carla have been each others rocks - she moves his kettle, now she has overstayed the welcome!
    No build up, no continuity.

Carla and Michelle (who seems to have noticed that her bff was unwell) - viewing houses for fun/laugh at Sally; doesn't fit with either character.

Kidney thing seemed rushed to be fair. Very little about it etc, could have been a good story line.

I wanted Carla to return with Robert's child, giving Michelle another son return was stupid, make Carla a mother give her a new storyline and oh Eileen is a huge lemon idiot hope Pat kills her or she goes down as an accomplish to his crimes, Tim please run straight to the useless cops who never investigate properly report him  end of rant ;)

Are there any more reality shows Fiz can take part in? She has to be the most irritating character on the whole street.

Can we just get her to annoy Pat?

So true, the annoying / pointless characters now fat outnumber the interesting / well written characters. I’m holding on until the Phelan storyline concludes & then I’m out.

David visited him once with his missus and again after she was killed. Didn’t Martin have 2 kids already with his new wife?

I'm nearly looking forward to Eileen finding out what a fool she's being more than Pat getting caught!
