    Hi all,

We've just had a baby so a good time to finally get rid of my 2005 Volvo S40 (lovely car to be fair) and get something newer.

I've approximately €10k to spend, give or take €1k either side, and am looking for the following:

    - Something higher off the road than a standard car, so a crossover or small SUV
    - Small-ish petrol engine (1.2-1.5l maybe), as my wife is still learning to drive and we don't need much power, want to keep insurance costs down
    - Decent sized boot for a big pram, shopping (was looking at a Nissan Juke but now believe it would be slightly too small in this regard, pity)
    - As new as possible, with low tax

Don't care about brand, don't care that much about looks, we do about 5,000 kms a year as I take public transport to and from work so I guess petrol a better bet than diesel? Would like to be able to connect our phones to the entertainment system if possible!

Would anyone have a suggestion for the brands and models that might work for us?
