Looks like it was back post far stick by 2 points actually. I had Kennedy subbing in in Wu Tangs team when his 2 points didn't actually count!

    Semi Final Results :

    OneFlewOverLukaku 48 - 44 Calmwood

    BackPostFarStick 54 - 52 Wu Tang Wanderers

2 tight sf games, but we have our final, taking place in a few days time

    OneFlewOverLukaku vs BackPostFarStick

Any issues with the above scores, let me know asap lads and they will be corrected if needed!!

Was a great header from Smalling! Hope you had that cover bet on St lupulin, no matter the outcome of the FPL Cup tie.

    I did indeed, cheers.

The lads are surely going to split the pot, right?

    Nah, going for the win!

UL in our game, the Smalling goal is a real outlier

Looks like it's gonna be a tight enough final. A 10 point lead as things stand, but triple captain Kane vs regular captain Kane as well as 4 more players each to play I think. Lots of points to play for.

I'm not particularly confident, really busy end of week meant I didn't have time to put into the Free Hit, Triple captain probably won't be enough but you never know

The late goal conceded by Chelsea fu**ed me a bit.

Quiet came for Kane and a hattrick for Aguero please

    Well I'm **cked.

No Aguero and a Silva goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,449 ✭✭✭McBain11

Huge second half here, very little in the tie even after the Silva goal. 34-30 to back post, with Ederson and Silva to go vs Oneflewoverlukaku Sane and Otamendi. Could go right to the wire

A Sane goal not turn the whole tie on its head, or am I calculating wrongly?

He's 3 points ahead of me after his points hit.

    Now I'm fu*ked!

Didn't wanna post and jinx it but looks like i've poxed my way to victory!

Unlucky Shane, i've had two very fortunate monday nights and can't really do much about that Dilva haul!

Cheers to McBain for running it, proud to be cup winner! :D

Congratulations on the win. My free hit didn't work out for me - cost me clean sheet points.

Yeah you were unlucky with the Chelsea game in particular, I wasted my triple captain too as it happens. Like I said Smalling last week and Dilva this week saved me, I definitely got the rub of the green!

Congratulations P Walnuts, that Smalling goal last week to get you into the final will go down in FPL folklore for you no doubt!! Commisserations Shane, was a really tight final, who could see Silva getting 2 more goals than Sane on the night. Some great ties in the cup throughout, really enjoyed running it. I'll get the winnings sorted and sent onto ye in the next couple of days lads.

Looks like we are into the home stretch in the FF season. Just a reminder of the prizes at stake as the pressure mounts with double gws, blank gws and chips galore to be used! Top 3 being paid in the league.

    League winner: 550
    League runner-up: 200
    League 3rd place: 100

This is going to be the greatest comeback in the history of FPL

Im just about hanging in there with hope I might get into third. I need to gamble a bit and hope that luck goes my way. I think first place has probably gone to Schmohawks.

In order to guard against the boys getting complacent I rotated the whole squad this week...nobody's place is safe.

    50 points is nothing btw

Best of luck tomorrow for all fighting it out at the top end of the table. Seems like a few positions still up for grabs, with some lads making a great run of it in the past few weeks.

And there it is, another year of glorious fantasy football down. What the hell will we all spend our summer months doing now!!

Top 3 getting paid in the league :

    League winner: 550
    League runner-up: 200
    League 3rd place: 100

That was the agreed breakdown, correct me if I'm wrong on that?

Huge congrats to Markx (Schmohawks), who just about got over the line ahead of timbel (D15_15) who had a massive run in the last 4/5 weeks to put up a serious challenge. St.Lupulin (Wu-Tang Wanderers) with a very creditable 3rd spot then, meaning that Dearg81 (Sporting Heehaw) unfortunately just finished outside the places.

I will get all winning monies sent on asap lads. Been a pleasure, enjoy the well earned break from checking injuries/suspensions etc. over the summer :pac:

Thanks for organising this McBain. I nearly ballsed it up with some Martial tomfoolery towards the end which was not a good idea with a steam train behind me!!

    Cheers for organising McBain.
A good run at the end to make up for mid season lull.
Just a bit too much ground to make up on Markx - congrats

Well done lads, some good scoring there, I fell away badly at the end after leading this for a while. Thanks for organising it again McBain11.
